I am using a Texas State Troopers pack and want to know how to make regular NPC cops use certain vehicles. I am not afraid of going outsides my mods folder.

Yeah, Bxbugs123 does some amazing shit with his cars. It would be cool for him to release, but I believe he has no plan on doing so. I heard from someone that a Whelen Edge Ultra Freedom IV, but that was a couple of months ago, and he has gone dark basically, so I wouldn't hold your breath.

For more advanced mesh combinations, there are additional steps. First, you need to renumber the mesh you add so it doesn't conflict (or, if you remove a mesh, renumber the other meshes so they have the proper range). Other than that, the biggest issue you're likely to face is textures.

GTA doesn't seem to care about the texture you assign in the openFormat. Instead, it matches textures to meshes the following way:

    uppr_001_a_uni reads as *meshname*_*letter*_*race*
(letter acts like the mesh number). If you read my "Ped Texture Discoveries", you saw more detail on this. What does it mean for you?

Well, let's say you delete a mesh, renumber, but don't fix textures. What you get is the texture for, say, the long-sleeved shirt being applied to the jacket. This can look really weird, and is definitely not what you want. So, what you have to do is delete the textures for the mesh you removed, and renumber the higher textures. To rename a texture in OpenIV, make sure you're in Edit Mode, open the wtd, and double click the specific texture. Enter your new name. To delete a texture, highlight it and hit "Delete" on your keyboard. Obviously, you have to delete or rename a texture before you can give another texture its name.

Also, if you have added a mesh, you need to add textures for it. What you want to do is drag the appropriate textures from OpenIV to some folder (click the name on the left of the wtd browser, and drag to Windows Explorer). They'll show up as PNGs. Renumber the textures by changing the number in the file name. Then, open the wtd for the model you're changing, and drag the PNGs to the window. Hit "OK" for mipmap generation, and you're done.

    Stealth Radar™

    Hey all,

So this script is still very much a prototype, but I've gotten it to a stage where I can show it off as a work in progress.

This is not a RAGE Plugin Hook or LSPDFR plugin, and cannot be used at all in an offline/LSPDFR environment. This is going to be my very first attempt at creating a script for the popular FiveM framework!

Stealth Radar will be a client script that gets installed on the server. To my knowledge, this cannot be installed and used from a client machine on any server. However, it will make a great addition to any police RP server!

Don't ask me when it's going to be released...it will be released when it's finished.

More info will be posted here as it becomes available!

    Credits
I would like to take a moment to thank the following people:

    - First and foremost, a huge shoutout goes to @sloosecannon, who has taken the time to show me the ropes behind the FiveM API, and has been gracious enough to help me test the script thus far!
    - Of course, what project doesn't have @Albo1125 involved in it? Thanks, Albo, for taking the time to answer my newbie questions about FiveM!
    - And last, but not least, @JFavignano, @Bayareabuggs, and @Polecat324, for being the inspiration behind this project!

    Features
    - Adds mobile and/or stationary radar to any law enforcement vehicle that the player is driving, provided the player is a LEO
    - Radar shoots out the front and back of the vehicle, up to a range of 500 feet*
    - Plugin can be enabled/disabled on a per-vehicle basis
    - Notification will display the model and color of the target vehicle, the speed of the target, the distance from the player to the target, and whether the target is moving closer or further away
    - Customizeable speed limit via key binds; if a vehicle is speeding, the player will get a more visible notification (speed shown in red, etc)
    - Ability to 'lock' a vehicle's detected speed into the system, for reference use during the traffic stop
    - Once a vehicle has been 'hit', the same vehicle will not trigger again for at least 60 seconds, unless a higher speed is recorded for that vehicle

    * Disclaimer -- Police radar has a much higher range than this, depending on environmental and other conditions, but based on the Googling I did, is not normally used beyond 150m/500ft. This value may change in the future

Hey, if you ever get around to it could you do Leander Police Department? I know it's not where you're focusing ATM, as it is in the Austin Area. I just live there and thought it would be cool to see my local PD units rolling around in GTA V.

I'm very sorry for the long silence on this project. For the past 1 /12 months I haven't really felt good. I was having sleep issues and were not really doing much during the day because I didn't feel up to it. I'm feeling alot better now and I'm slowly getting back into working on the ESU truck.

Good news was when I left it I didn't have much left to do before putting into GTA so I would say it is around 90% or so done. If I remember to (Because I'm also busy with get a book published) I will update once I have it in game with pictures.

I thank you guys for being patience with me on this project.

Welcome to the modification/showroom thread of the San Andreas Project. This is a huge project that the Attractive Studios team has come up with and we hope to execute as we are planning. This idea includes a complete overhaul of Liveries, Models, and Peds for the San Andreas emergency services. Basically it will include 5-6 emergency service departments (extra details about each one below) Peds to go along with them, and custom lore friendly liveries for all of them as well. The model number will most likely come out to 30 or above, so it is to be used along side RDE. Or with a mix and match.

    The Team:
    t0y - Modeler
    OfficerWalters - Modeler
    Drix - Modeler
    Indiana - Modeler
    Maurice - Modeler
    Trent - Livery Designer, Modeler
    Brad - Livery Designer
    Acepilot2k7 - Youtuber
Slendis - Screenshoter, Livery Designer, Tester

    More to be announced soon.

    How can you contribute?
We would love to have help with this massive project. If you want to help but dont know anything about modeling or texture designing feel free to comment below and give us your opinions, and suggestions about what we should add or remove or edit! If you do have experience in modeling and livery designing you can PM us or come on our discord to talk about joining and helping out with this.

    Q&A
Q: What makes this different from the tons of model packs and uniform packs out there already? What makes the SAP special?
A: Well most packs and modelers have some small packs out there 5-6 vehicles maybe more, without uniforms, and with the same vehicles used in every other pack. We are planning on making almost 10 cars for each major department, and using some private or unreleased models meaning the model bases will be unique to us, and you will have enough LSPD, BCSO, and SASP cars to fill your slots with major variety. We also will (hopefully) having matching uniforms, which means you won't need to use the same uniforms as always. We also are, also hopefully good modelers and are planning on spending a large amount of time on this pack so it will be the highest quality possible with major effort.

Q: When, and how are you planning on releasing the San Andreas Project?
A: Currently we have no ETA on release, but that will of course be updated, and reupdated as time goes on and we run into issues, or find new things to add. Every week on Sunday we will update you on this thread, and in our Gallery with images of what we've done, giving you new information on the packs we are working on and once we get closer to release we will give you our planned release date. In terms of how, it will most likely be released in one of a few ways. We may release it by department, and by part. So "SAP Part 1: LSPD" released by the supervisor or a leader, or it will be released in "The San Andreas Project" with, upon hitting download will have several different files to choose from each one being a specific department. Because of the huge amount of cars this file will probably be a massive size so it may need to be uploaded to mediafire, and we will just link it in a download.
