  1. I have a quick question. Looking over the files, this appears to be a ELS vehicle. Do you have any idea which XML I should use? Or will you update the mod to include one?
  2. For anyone else who is curious which vehicle this livery is for, Here's the model: in OpenIV I had to replace pranger_sign_1 and p_ranger_sign_2 in the YTD to get it to show up. Enjoy 🙂
  3. Thank you for making a Jeep LEO vehicle with a removable roof and a working trailer hitch! Cannot wait to test it out!
  4. I found a old handling line for YCA's 6x6 hummer. Its a little longer but maybe might still work in preventing some rollovers. its from a user called Tank Guy https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/hummer-6x6-handling
  5. I'm having the same issue with both Winrar and 7Zip. Downloaded 5 times each is corrupted.
  6. In this model, the antennas are bonded to non-removable body-parts. If they were assigned to extras, you could remove them using a trainer but that is not the case. Also the model is locked and Macgregor holds the key to doing any modifications. I suggest you DM him to ask him if he could please release a civ model. Yeah the GTA V waiting game for certain models is annoying. I waited for a 80 series Land Cruiser (my dream car) to be modeled in this game for something like 2 Years before it was published. I'm still waiting for a public release Tacoma(one exists but as a private model somewhere), any 4Runner and a Lincoln Town Car limo just to name a few. Eventually, all those models will be made but, being patient will reward you when your model does come out.
  7. Yeah the Kluger is the same car as the Toyota Highlander. Over in Australia, the name Highlander was trademarked by Hyundai (as a trim on one of their cars) so, in that market Toyota had to call it something else. Currently, there's only 1 civilian Toyota Highlander available for GTA V and its a 2nd gen facelift model you can find on 5Mods under the SUV / Pick-ups Add-On Pack. Its a little outdated and inefficient but, by extracting the files from the auto installation using 7zip, you can get yourself that Highlander in add-on form (https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/suv-add-on). Jrem7315 from 5Mods was also supposedly working on a 3rd gen Highlander but he's ran into some issues. Good luck I'd also love to see some of the other Highlander/Kluger cars in this game. IRL I have a first gen and, I love that car so much!
  8. I'm having 20 million issues with this pack. Its weird because I re-installed it last night and, it worked out fine (with of course a few glitched out police cars.) Well, I go back this morning and, the game keeps crashing. (always funny how that works lol) After 2 hours, I'm waving the white flag. As fun as RDE may be, in this current itteration, its just not worth it. Now, I understand the devs are working extremely hard to bring us this much needed update but, till that happens, I'm out.
  9. Is anyone else experiencing a bodyshell being left behind when a bodypart falls off? I never had this problem with the normal caprice but, seem to be experiencing it with the ELS version?
  10. thank you to you and the rest of the GTA Realism Team for working hard on the latest release . As much as I hate waiting tbh, I'd rather have a stable RDE update than a rushed one.
  11. Thanks M8 yeah, that old like was definetly overkill. Changing it to -availablevidmem 10 improved my gameplay and fixed 99% texture loss. GTA Iv is not the most stable game but, I'm doing a lot better off now than before when I created this thread. Thanks Everyone :)
  12. Thanks again for your help. I was really pushing the limits to my half school laptop half mid tier gaming one. As it turns out, I had a few culprets for causing texture issues. 1. overloading the game [Memory] had a massive addon map running in the background which always loaded with the game (unsure how to turn it off at this point) [explains why the further away I was from this island the better the textures loaded] Had a few memory intensive scripts running at the same time Installed too many extremely High Poly cars causing texture loss [especially when the police decide to get involved and would not shoot at me due to memory leakage] When game was getting throttled, a F22 Raptor and a F16 would spawn on the street and pretend to be a car before understeering and crashing causing usually a huge traffic jam. 2. Letting Xlive and Dsound into the same game version (gotta love auto-installs lol) Lessons learned: Never install mods when your tired, Be familiar with your game\computer's limits, avoid auto-installs (extract when you can) and worse case make sure you save a log to reverse changes, and don't be afraid to create a second directory or prioritize features biased on what you want and your game's limits.
  13. Yeah I should of upgraded to Windows 10 when I had the chance. I'm still planning on buying it and duel booting it (already have a partition set up) but its going to be probably 8 months before i can acquire 10, and play around with installing it on my other partition. In the meantime, 8.1 is all I got.
  14. Something is not right with GTA IV on my rig. My laptop is a mid-end gaming Alienware 13t R1 running on Windows 8.1 x64, with a Haswell i5-4210U processor, 16gb DDR3 Ram, NVidia GTX 860M, and a Samsung 512GB SSD. With my graphics card, I can run 1.0.7.0 at 2560 x 1440. I know my laptop is not the best nor the worst but, there's something wrong if it can handle GTA V better than IV. In the game, it says I'm only using something like 532mb of 2k of visual Ram. I have a few visual enhancements like Cry V3 ENB, HD trees, and Realistic Roads. Still, I am getting texture issues. My commandline is:... Do you guys have any suggestions to cut down on the texture loss? I have a feeling I am using improper command lines I've used the process tamer trick (which helped a lot) and changed the Stream.ini settings to 16384000 Thanks
  15. Thank you for checking in ! With all your guys help, I was able to solve the issue. As it turns out, during my troubleshooting, out of the 3 IV executables, 2 were on administrator Windows 7 compatibility and another was on administrator Win XP SP3 compatibility mode. The game also did not like how I had both Dsound and Xlive at the same time. I ended up turning off compatibility mode all-together since on my system, IV could be stable using Win 8.1 natives and, ended up sticking with Xlive so I could use custom gamesaves. As always so far in my experience, IV is not as stable of a game as GTA V but, hey in the end of the day, modding this game is totally worth it !
  16. I've come a long way into the modding world of GTA IV. Its been over 40 days since I got this game and, after hours of playing around with it, my game is finally stable ! Unfortunately today I ran into something that confused me a lot. Today I found a GTA IV vehicle model that supports both ELS and EPM at the same time [the readme backs up this procedure because, it requires ELS for the custom light setup and EPM for the door handles\automatic spoiler]. The model in question is an exotic police car from NFS Hot Pursuit 2010 (source is questionable so I'm not sharing any links to this model) To my knowledge so far, I found that these 2 scripts are incompatible. So, my question is is it possible\recommended to run both ELS and EPM at the same time or, is it just asking for trouble with extreme game instability? Thanks :)
I've always loved this Ford [Saleen] Tow Truck. With a modified handling line [supposed to be for a Saleen S331 civilian truck], it can tow anything and, feels like a mustang! My only gripe is the lack of ELS support (which I just started using). and how you need to change the first person offset (not mentioned in the readme) However, so far I like this car for the towtruck2 slot the most :)
  17. Images added to a gallery album owned by TRDOffroad03 in GTA V Galleries
This is where I store my interesting GTA V screenshots
  18. Sweet thanks :) This time i'll make sure to not install Xlives and dsound. that might have made my problem worse.
  19. Thanks its weird in my IT university course, one of the top 10 most common mistakes is overthinking a problem by yourself. They say, its always good to collaborate with someone else when fixing a computer because a fresh set of eyes can identify a flaw the first man cannot identify. By the way, I was able to get both everything working again and now I'm following your advice. I love that concept of do one thing at a time and, make backups (even document your work) because, that can help you out. Its helped me out before both in GTA V and EFLC but, this one time, those screwed up permissions got the best of me. By the way, with savefiles, I have one in another profile than the one the game is using. How would I convert it to work again. Do I need to use the dreaded Xlive? I tried renaming it but, the game got angry at me.
  20. Thanks for the help I'm under the impression now that I made the mistake of installing both Xlive and Dsound. In addition to that, I may have mixed up files from my valid steam version with a possible bootleg version I thought I could circumvent the downgrade method with (originally I had trouble installing Lessmsi). Now, I learned my lesson how to downgrade and, spent that extra time installing Lessmsi to aid in the downgrade. Best of all, I am more experienced now with GTA IV modding and more confident in my abilities. This should help me figure out whats wrong. I'm re-downloading 1.0.8x now and, will check to see if it runs before fiddling around with anything. Next up will be a downgrade to 1.0.7 so I'm on a moddable version and if that works, I'll back it up :) On the bright side, at least I am still able to mod EFLC and, in TBOGT, I already installed ELS, LCPDFR, and Dsound and I can confirm all is well :)
Great job with this skin pack. I'm especially happy to report that even in 2017, the links for the models still work! Best of all, they look beautiful in my game!
  21. EDIT: Issue has been resolved . Thanks for all your help I'm perplexed by what I did to my game. After owning the game for 6 days stable on 1.0.8.0, I got frustrated due to the lack of mod support. I decided yesterday, I tried downgrading GTA IV steam retail from 1.0.8.0 to 1.0.7.0. I ended up with the error message SecuLauncher: Failed to start Application [2000] after I successfully was able to boot the game on 1.0.7.0. I then went ahead and installed Scripthook, Simpletrainer, ASIloader, and Xlive.DLL. Unfortunately after doing all that hard work, my game would after the R* screen display the message SecuLauncher: Failed to start Application [2000]I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game 3 times and am furious that I still cannot get the game to work (same error). scripthook spit this error today Could anyone please help me out Any sugestions on what I am missing? Its so frustrating to have to delete, clear all files in the steam folder and re-download again only to find out its not working. To add insult to injury, TBOGT boots up fine. Just not GTA IV By the way I have a modded single player copy of GTA V on my computer but am unable to play that due to lent :(
