CES 2013 Futuristic Police Car
CVPI's don't have superchargers, never did. Only only difference from the civilian P73 performance wise is a better flowing air intake, different gearing, less restrictive emissions and duel exhaust. Even that is only good for 20-25 h.p over a non-interceptor. Otherwise, your looking at stiffer suspension, oil cooler, bigger alternator, HD frame etc...but the basic car (and 4.6 V8) is the same, much of which you could get with Handling and Performance Packages (HPP) through Ford on their non-interceptors as well.

CES 2013 Futuristic Police Car
Meh, I doubt a car tricked out to that extent will ever see much use. That Carbon Motors thing was all the rage for awhile, now the company is toast, and I don't think they got one car to agency use. Most manufacturers give huge discounts for fleet sales, even more so if buying more than one at a time.

I wanna see that alternator that's taking all that power.

Real life NYPD Shooting a Dog Trying to Protect Her Owner
First off, old news. I'm not going to comment on the actual shooting of the dog, however, firing the handgun with bystanders in the background, within the line of fire, was supremely stupid.

The Christmas Present You Want Most (If you celebrate Christmas)
So, how bad did the panic prices get ya? I'm looking for an A2 build, myself. A CZ 75B would be nice too.

He just wanted some doughnuts
Village over, (~1500-2000 people) their Chief was at least 300lbs. He would make you walk back to his car on a traffic stop. He was fired, but enough people complained and he got his job back.

Best language to learn for police use?
Spanish is almost an requirement around here due to a lot of migrant farm workers.

First 2013 Ford Police Interceptor
CVPI's had the option for ballistic door panels. Aftermarket for sure, I think from the factory on the later models as well, but I'm not 100% on that.

World's Wildest Police Videos revived
Yeah, that gets me. Or when they cut and replay the same footage over and over during one video.

Sorry, I could never stand 'ole John. Don't know why, but he bugs me to no end.

First 2013 Ford Police Interceptor
Meh, my county Sheriffs office just got a hold of one and it's currently waiting on lights and equipment install. County of just a hair over 25,000 people. ETA:The sedan that is.

slicktop chargers and crow vics
Crown Vics did have an "Street Appearance Package" from the factory for police fleet vehicles. (Hubcaps/alloy wheels, chrome trim, badges, etc...) Lots of retired police cars around here as well.

Most efficient police forces in the world
Yep, I know of a few "veteran preferred" departments around, but none that will hire exclusively veterans. Speaking of the NYPD, they not that long ago buffed their entrance requirements, used to be all one needed to have was a High School diploma. Last ten years or so IIRC. Just don't quote me on that. Who'd ever what to work in NYC or another major metro area is beyond me however.

Not quite. Either or.

Wouldn't it make sense?
The Merc Marauder(The new one) when first conceived by Ford was an awesome car. What we actually got was a P71 with nicer trim.

Wouldn't it make sense?
The Panther platform is dead. Anyways, very few agencies used Grand Marq's as police cars, they were never issued as a police package, except between '79 and '82. And actual police package Grand Marq's, not just kitted up ones, are pretty much the holy grail of Panther platform cars. Difference between a Crown Vic and a Grand Marq? 1,000 bucks and some badges. ETA: Police Package Marquis

Black! That's a different look for a MSP cruiser. The pics are nice too, always good when they tell a story.

New Police vehicle offerings: Are they enough?
At the video above: To be fair, the AWD Tahoe is not Pursuit rated.

New Police vehicle offerings: Are they enough?
I have no idea why Ford went with a FWD/AWD car as the new police offering. Way too mantainence intensive for a fleet vehicle.
