  1. From what I have seen, people usually leave a link to the car model in the description and upload the texture in a .png format (typically). Looks like you do good work and I look forward to seeing more of your content!
  2. Not trying to go off topic, but im almost certain that it isn't permitted to re-upload others' work. This isn't really a texture file, its a vehicle model. Just want to see others' work stay credited (not saying you are trying to steal credit) and your work to remain here too.
  3. EVERY time I run GTA, in order to get the best FPS possible because I am a FPS sl*t, I run a windows batch file that helps reduce stuttering and increase FPS to an acceptable level . And i really limit my mods, keep plugins and scripts to a minimum, and only have a couple cars installed at a time. Don't be like me. Get a good laptop.
  4. I also run GTA V on a laptop with medium-low graphics and some mods, but I have a 960M, so I can only imagine the 980 would do an amazing job. I also have the i7-6700 procrssor, and 16gb ram. I do agree thought, the 1060 is a hell of a GPU and would do you even better with performance, even though the deal on that gigabyte is a STEAL IMO.
  5. They definitely fulfill their purpose as a ruggedized laptop well. We have been using the CF-19's in the field for at least the 4 years I've been around and I must say, they are kind of junk. Hard to type reports with such a small keyboard and the touchscreens aren't very responsive. But they can definitely take a beating.
  6. As a staunch libertatian, I was disappointed that the third party candidate that I voted for reached single-digit numbers in the popular election. Nonetheless, I was relieved (and surprised) to wake up to Donald Trump as the new President Elect. Unlike Clinton, he has been forthcoming with his (unfiltered) vision for the country, while Clinton has been a lying and corrupt career politician for years and years. Watching videos of H Clinton from many years ago, I see a woman, not a robot, and I think she had good intentions and might have truly had the desire to do good... but since SOS and her habitual lying about emails, in addition to failing to claim responsibility for the Americans killed in Benghazi, I think she has proven that she is unfit to be trusted by the public. Plus I can't possibly imagine lower tax rates with her extensive social programs, including massive funding of planned parenthood and the "affordable" care act (out of principle, I do not believe in my tax dollars going toward any sort of govt-run or funded healthcare). Much of what Trump says will never come to pass and I think that he now knows that the battle is over and the presidency is his. I hope that he will lead the country in a new direction and work with congress to bring back some of the fiscally conservative policies & principles we haven't seen in nearly a decade.
  7. Just install the vehicle files into PATCHDAY11 or 12 and then install the carvariations.meta into where the install instructions specify (pretty sure its mpluxe2) and install the carcols where it specifies as well.
  8. I run an ASUS ROG GL752 w/ a GTX 960m 2gb card. For all intensive purposes, I run a fairly lightly modded game version (a couple scripts, less than 10 plugins, and only keep a couple car mods in the game at a time). I get somewhere between 40-60fps usually, but also keep in mind that I have a settings.xml file that i downloaded from GTA 5 mods . com that sacrifices the amazing graphics this game can offer for added FPS. I also run a FPS stabilizer/lag reducing script every time I start the game. Kinda a pain. Looks like I'll be upgrading to a real desktop soon with a 970 4gb card so It will be a pleasant change!
  9. A few screenshots of some traffic enforcement/hiding, and general nonsense.
  10. You contradicted yourself in a matter of half a sentence. As a firearm owner and a resident of the United States, I can tell you that the government has no right to tell me what purpose my firearm must be used for to maintain legality (i.e. hunting, target shooting, etc.). I understand you are from Canada based on your profile, where to my knowledge, handguns are not legal and the only thing that people really have are shotguns and rifles. The United States is a completely different country though. The ease of obtaining a weapon LEGALLY is not as astonishingly easy as you say it is. When purchasing a firearm, a NICS check is performed. This check run's the person's name, DOB, gender and race through a database of several different components. One of the checks is a III (interstate identification index) check, which is a database of fingerprint-supported arrests that the states have communicated to the database. There is also an NCIC check that looks to see if the person has any warrants with significant extradition limits, SO Registry, domestic violence/protection orders, potential terrorist watch list, missing persons, deported felons, etc. These are both in addition to the NICS check itself. The initial NICS mastery names query also soundexes, meaning that names and dates of birth that are similar are presented to the person performing the check in an effort to make sure it's not the same person as a potential hit record indicates. People (who don't know what they are talking about) think that one can just buy guns online and have them shipped to their house or go to a gun show and just buy a gun from a dealer without one of these NICS checks, which couldn't be farther from the truth. Every person buying a firearm from an FFL uses these checks and criminals who buy their guns and use them in the commission of crimes do not.
Great mod in my use so far. It's evident that a lot of development has gone into it and I have been waiting for a while for a mod like this to come out. Really useful and not cumbersome to use like other radar mods on this site. 5/5 Just to add: At least for my i7-6700 and 960M 2gb, I do notice a visible framerate drop when using the mod, but its not too bad and It wouldn't put it off on you at all.
  11. Thanks Matt, through some more research, I found that it was actually the simple trainer. I diasbled keybindings and it works great now.
  12. any idea how to unbind the K and L keys from doing turn signals on the car? Any time I change the mode or lock a target my signals come on. Otherwise after a very short amount of time using this script I really like it and will be glad to do a review! thank you for this mod!
  13. is your post FX turned to very high and do you have a light-enhancing mod installed(Radiance V or Realistic Radiance) ? If not give that a shot
  14. Where are the campaign hat(s) in EUP? @Alex_Ashfold
  15. This is an awesome model! Any thought put into making it a more low profile vehicle?(no/removable pushbumper, the PPV honeycomb grill, and the caprice wheel covers?)
  16. I only have it running on my own vehicle, none of the other emergency vehicles. Does this have as much of an effect on the FPS or is it the plugin in general that makes the difference? Thank you both for your willingness to help. I have since adopted very low settings in order to get god performance but id prefer to improve.
This is a great siren and the support to get it working as it should right out of the gate was great from the author. It's nice to have such a new siren in an LSPDFR siren file. My only criticism, which I certainly wouldn't deduct any stars for, is that the sound files are much larger than in some other siren packs (i.e. the wail of the whelen 295hfsa6 in the American siren pack is about 100,000 kb smaller than the cencom wail), so its either one or the other, no replacing any of those files with these. Nonetheless a great addition to this site.. thanks!
  17. EDIT: with the 2.0 update it works just fine. review to come. thanks for making the needed fixes so quickly!
  18. Thanks for the update, but I'm still not able to get this to work. I have read your original readme and the updated one! I had the american siren pack installed in a desktop folder that contained the vehicles.oac and vehicles folder, and tried replacing the tones with these tones, as well as deleted the specified files. no luck. the old tones either remained or the sound dictionary was muted. please note that after deleting the specified files and attempting to import the updated vehicles.oac to the resident.rpf, it took about a second before popping up saying that not all files were transferred then under the details it said that file was missing. it almost seemed like there were other files that may have not transferred. In light of this I exported to openformats a vanilla copy of the vehicles.awc to a desktop folder and imported that to my modded game version and all siren tones were returned to stock. no issues. Then I deleted the specified files again and replaced the police tones. I have confirmed that the tones in the vehicles folder are in fact these whelen tones. When importing the .oac, the same popup came up, and i proceeded to the game to see if it worked, but all tones are still game-stock. Any idea how to remedy this or trick the openiv or the game into thinking it doesnt need the files you specified to delete so it will import the files? once i get this installed i will be happy to leave a review. thank you!
  19. I too had this issue.. if you could post a solution or more detailed install instrcutions it would be much appreciated!
  20. Hey everybody this is my first post on the forum after having been a member and playing LSPDFR for a while and I just wanted to see if anybody had any ideas for an issue I've been experiencing: I have been experiencing issues with low FPS when running GTA V w/ LSPDFR and some basic mods & plugins. I have been getting 40-45 FPS with current mods, but have previously experienced FPS of 60+ with basically the same mods. I have deleted my mods and plugins and started from scratch several times, trying different things several times for the purpose of learning and experimenting. But I haven't found out what is bogging it down now. I get 60 fps for a few seconds at a time from here and there, but other times its hardly playable to me. I have researched this issue on this forum and have made the according adjustments (adjusting the video card settings for performance, etc) I use the up-to-date NVIDIA game-ready driver. I have tried the grahpics settings on factory default, Optimized the settings with the NVIDIA software, and everything in-between. Here are my Specs: ASUS ROG GL752VW-DH71 Intel i7-6700 2.6GHz 16GB DDR4 1TB HDD GTX960M 2GB Plugins Mods (Just 1 car) -LSPDFR -Thehurk's 2016 LSPD FPIU -Emergency Strobes -American Siren Pack -Agency Callouts -Arrest Manager -Police Radio -Traffic Policer Please reply with any suggestions or if you need any more info!! thank you in advance!
