The Algonquin-Dukes Expressway was closed heading towards the airport in both lanes due to a serious crash spilling debris - and fuel - all over the road. At the centerpiece of this was a brand new Infernus. While the driver escaped with minor injuries and a jail sentence for reckless driving, the Infernus was totalled, becoming an LCPD museum piece for a year before being scrapped.

With a huge Jewish diaspora, it was only natural that they set up a neighbourhood watch scheme - the Outlook Park Volunteer Police, or the Shomrim, following the blackouts of 1977 which shook the community to it's core. The LCPD, somewhat controversially, have supported and funded them ever since, with one example of their support being the OPVP Merit in the background, a former LCPD car repainted as a 'gift' to them.

As quoted from the real-life Wikipedia article: "Members, driving repainted police cars, respond to armed robberies, burglaries, and assaults in progress, as well as automobile accidents and general assistance to residents. While they are not authorized to make arrests, they will chase suspects and try to detain them by surrounding them and talking to them until police arrive."

Here, the LCPD were called in by the Shomrim to respond to an attempted robbery in the actual park area. The LCPD were just around the block, and took the suspect away a few minutes later

The LCPD have had a habit of performing these since the attacks. Across the city, and the emergency services world, people wonder what the hell they're up to, and why that somehow fits into counter-terrorism in the archaic reign of the Lawton administration.

Of course, emergency vehicles need to be refuelled. In the lull period before the acts arrive, emergency personnel on site are reccomended to have their vehicles fuelled and readied for the day ahead. And with Friday night patrols and responses drawing fuel from ambulances and police cars, Saturday morning was mostly fuelling up cars, the acrid smell of petrol and diesel in the air when the Yellow buses began to arrive. RON stations were known to smell really bad.

Off the back of one of our more...peculiar screenshotters, here's a Munich Police and Bundespolizei Stanier (or as he once referred to it as, a Wartburg (?)). Thinking about putting this up soon, but I'm not sure when.

Oh, and this screenshots gallery isn't dead. I've just got to finish up 'Operation: Ashahara' first. It's best not to leave this gallery in the dark, though.

Ready to jump into action while the 30 Seconds to Mars set ends, the Park & Rides along Columbus Avenue are ready to go to pick up the festivalgoers, and drop them back off at where they were picked up. While the GLP prepared to escort them out, the enthusiasts lined the streets, hoping to get good shots of 'foreign' buses in an Arriva-served city.

Sweet Christ, for the third time in a row, I think I've actually sorted it out now.

One night in May, the heads of the city's emergency services went over details of how the event will be co-ordinated, security-wise. While the bands would be protected by typical event security, the Greater Liberty Police were also asked to provide security on-site between the three zones marked out on this here map.

The 'Liberate Festival' was ticketed via a 'wristband' system. Festivalgoers would recieve tickets and wear wristbands that were either Red, Yellow or Blue. This indicated where they would enter on the park and ride buses on stops around the city - Zone 3, for example, is a pick-up point for international festivalgoers, those who had cars in the Dukes area, or those who had taken the elevated train to the airport pick-up zone. The Yellow entrance also provided access for crew members, allowing them to exit and enter Meadows Park quick and clean.

The combined command area was the GLP station and Cerveza Heights hospital on Livingston Street. Some police would be stationed in the command room in the station, while paramedics and doctors would be on hand to assist those who had become sick or injured in some way. The purple square, however, was where most of the police cars and ambulances not in used would be stationed - Livingston Street was a Blue entry point, after all.

Sounds complicated? I agree - this took an hour or so to arrange. But it's been on my mind for a little while - I know, I can't add the crowds properly, but I'll try and emulate that, and follow this plan in-game, if I can.

A week in advance, the trucks carrying bits and pieces of the stages and other festival equipment arrive in Meadows Park near midnight, forcing the GLP to close off the roads leading onto Livingston Street. But wait, you might ask, the crew entrance is just off the motorway. Well unfortunately, the snooty residents of Meadow Hills filed a complaint against the organiser about 'potential distruption' because of the trucks a few nights before they were legally obliged to leave their homes.

This resulted in a logistical nightmare to get the 16-wheeler trucks into the park. After much negotiation over the course of three hours, slightly behind schedule, the trucks arrived in the park via an agreed route. And from then on, they got to work.

(sorry about the distruption from earlier. I think we're finally sorted now)

At around 11PM on a September night, the Greater Liberty Police received a series of 999 calls pertaining to an apparent 'chemical attack' in the Bahama Mamas club in Algonquin. Immediately, all three emergency agencies in the city were rushed to the scene. The perpetrator, who had an apparent grudge against the club owner, was found trying to escape to the airport, and was arrested by GLP Tactical Firearms Team officers the next morning.

It's been sixteen years since 9/11, and what a long sixteen years it has been, too. To think that the Middle East is back in turmoil after all of the 'work' that was done is disheartening.

But on September the 11th, 2001, 343 firemen, including FDNY Chief of Department Peter J. Ganci Jr., were murdered in an unspeakable, shocking act of terror that not only was confined to New York, but Washington DC, and the small town of Shanksville, PA. The world has changed a lot since then.

At 1:46PM, I will observe a two minute's silence, if possible. I do this every year, as the tragedy struck close to my heart. While the video-watching is down, and the books have not been read this year, I won't forget, and WE WILL NEVER FORGET.

Yes, you heard that...or read that right, using the recently-released Random License Plate Mod, I am making British plate variations for most cars! It's still a WIP, but it's very close to completion, just need to sort out some specs I didn't realise I needed until the last minute.

It's really fascinating how many pre-51 reg cars there are in GTA IV. Plates will include the AA00 AAA, A000 AAA, AAA 000A and even two instances of the AAA 000 plate format!

    Stay tuned for updates.

The Fleet Services Division of the LCPD is much renowned for servicing broken-down vehicles on a 'right here, right now' basis. Their fleet of vans, fitted out with seats to transport broken-down officers back to the station, are frequently known as 'Embarrassment Wagons', as officers frequently return to their stations humiliated, and the butt of jokes for the day. Their status is so known, that the name is etched on the back of FSD vans to remind officers that they are royally screwed.

Here, this van arrives at the scene of a Marbelle's engine malfunction. The officer involved was then humiliated for many days.

"Great for shootings", the guides claim. Home to around a million people, Bohan is where many LCPD officers fall victim to injury, or even death. It is nicknamed 'The Wasteland' by officers, owing to almost every block having some sort of demolished/destroyed building, a nickname that still carries on to this day.

One night in 1996, these two LCPD officers are idling around, waiting for a certain somebody they're after to arrive. Their guns are primed, and their wits are sharp.

(I think I'll do a proper LCPD Marbelle retexture in the future. Not guaranteed, though.)

Wow...the 24th of August 2016 felt like ages ago. We've had new Presidents, parliaments, and even a total solar eclipse since then.

On the 24th of August 2016, I was on my school holiday from the end of Year 10 to my last year of school - Year 11. A year on, today is my results day. And I can tell you now that I have excelled in all the subjects I wanted to.

But today's special for another reason, too - I released my first proper mods for GTA IV, the first of which was the Humberside Police Vincent (left), then after a viewing of Finding Dory, I released the Metropolitan Police Stanier (right), the start of a staple of the early months of my modding career. If you want to download them, here they are down below.

My main thanks must go to the creator of the UK Policing Template Pack, @Razor792. Without your pack, I wouldn't have been inspired to make liveries, and I wouldn't be where I am today.
Another thanks goes to @HomerS, an unofficial friend who I keep bumping into now and then. You were the first to comment on my mod, and someone great to talk to online.
Another thanks goes to 'based' @ThatOneHick. You make great mods, and best of all, you make great templates. If it's true that you are soon retiring, I wish you well.
Finally, thanks to the LCPDFR community for keeping me coming back. I know GTA IV modding has reached end-of-life, but I feel like I'm keeping it going. And you know what the magic of modding is? Good or bad, you're putting your name out there. And I will leave you on that.

    Here's to another year!
