Its all a matter of opinion a 5 Star mod to me might be a 2 Star mod to you,  its kinda like looking at restaurant reviews. The good thing is not only can you rate it but you also have the opportunity to leave a comment explaining your rating. The really sad part is people rate the plugins on things like what type of call outs, lets use "person with a knife" call out for example its used a lot but each one has something that's a little bit different than the last or different location etc. its a decent call out but what would suck is if every time i had that call it was in the same place, same ped, same scenario. I was a police officer for 4 years there was plenty of nights that I would have to respond to a Suspicious Person call several times a shift (Dispatch the same way) but different location, different suspect, different end result. When I rate a plugin I usually play it several times first the thing I rate on is if the plug in works smooth without crashing my game, if there is any glitches during a call out, variety of the call outs, locations etc. Developing these aren't easy and takes a lot of time. If a call out runs smooth and doesn't cause crashes that's a great start, suggestions and wants can always be addressed in updates. Giving a bad rating simply because you don't like the content of the plugin isn't really fair to the developer, or giving a low rating because its a WIP, all plugins for the most part are a WIP as the developers usually are always working to improve or add to the plugin. Use the comments to address any issues or negative issues you have and give the developer the opportunity to address them and if he doesn't then give a bad review.

It sounds to me like you're referencing a single mod, as opposed to files in general.  If you think there's abuse going on in someone's reviews, you can either report the file, or the individual reviews.  The 1-5 star system works, and is much better than a thumbs up and thumbs down system, which can also be abused.  Not to mention, trying to moderate thumbs down abuse would be much more tedious and not worth it.

@Sam You need to give Bejoljo's mods a place in the essential section as soon as he's back. He deserves it !

A majority of the current "essential plugins" haven't been updated for a loooong time and are kinda obsolete compared to what we currently have.

That would be a first step into rewarding him for his work.

he ought to know most of the 1 star reviewers and what not are young kids and newbies who don't know any better. hopefully the dude gets over this and puts it back up again soon. for now someone should really throw this up on a third party website for the time being just so people still have access to it.  that's just me, i know people will disagree

So in other words if you don't get the feedback that you want then just remove everything, 9 out of 10 reviews are positive but the 1 of the 10 that isn't to your liking is a deal breaker? Kinda like kids when the kid doesn't get his way so he takes his ball and goes home!

You misunderstand our reason for not giving a specific date.  We're not a professional studio and don't have an army of people to work on this full time day-in, day-out.  There's so many different things to prepare and get ready for this release.  It's not like we finished 0.4 in January and decided to make everyone wait a month just for fun.

In the future, please do not create topics asking about why a mod was removed.  Sometimes it's to bring out an update, while other times the author has decided to remove their mod.

If you use ELS, you need to open the ELS INI and change ELSTracCTRL to false.

Going to go ahead and close this topic as it's now several months old.  (hard to believe)
