Cantankerous reacted toDeactivated Memberin Dallas Officers Fired Upon at a BLM Protest (Updated 12:57 AM EST)I think we need to remind ourselves what terrorism means:
ter·ror·ism:
noun noun: terrorism the use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims. Were they using violence and intimidation? Yes: they were yelling at students and calling them names. Are they trying to complete some sort of political agenda? Yes. -
Cantankerous reacted to The Loot in Dallas Officers Fired Upon at a BLM Protest (Updated 12:57 AM EST)BLM is but a initially benign symptom of the hatred that has festered for decades. Tell me, what group has been the face of anti-cop sentiment for the last three years? What group has been beatifying violent criminals? What group has many supporters of it gleefully celebrating every time tragedy befalls an officer? What group has many supporters of it blatantly calling for violence against officers?

Cantankerous reacted to Griswald in Dallas Officers Fired Upon at a BLM Protest (Updated 12:57 AM EST)These brave officers lay down there lives everyday and how do we appreciate them? We march down the streets holding signs protesting them. I am not saying BLM is responsible for these 5 dead officers but they have no right to protest against these cops in my opinion and then go run to them for help when shots ring out.

Cantankerous reacted toDeactivated Memberin Dallas Officers Fired Upon at a BLM Protest (Updated 12:57 AM EST)I find it absolutely astounding that in the cellphone footage, you can see the officers driving / running towards the gunfire, while the protestors who claim ARHGH ALL COPS = EVIL are cowering behind those officers.

Cantankerous reacted to thegreathah in [Suggestion] Report WriterThat's a pretty sweet idea. I'm no coder so I can't speak to the actual possibility of it, but I would definitely download if someone made it!

Cantankerous reacted to 585ny14603 in [Suggestion] Report WriterSo like TicketTime but with reports and not just tickets. Could be difficult, I don't know if you've noticed but even at this point if you try to look up someone's name on the in-car computer it will turn the lights or siren on if you press the right keys so maybe disabling actions while typing in those windows isn't possible yet? Obviously a good idea but really the only way to do it right now is have your own templates for reports open and just alt tab and fill them out or something.

Cantankerous got a reaction from thegreathah in [Suggestion] Report WriterJust wanted to float this idea for a plugin or addon. Now this will probably seem silly to most, but it should bump up the realism points.
The idea is that when you are finished with a call out you can use your police computer to type a brief synopsis of the incident, ideally details (names, DOBs, tag numbers, make and models) of things involved in the incident could be on one side of the screen or the other. Maybe even like a fill in the blank or menu type thing would work. I'm not talking about writing a thesis paper here, just a few lines.
Example for computer based report: "At 12:30 Officer Snuffy observed a green sedan (tag #XXXXXXXX) that failed to yield at stop sign on Whatever street, driver (name, DOB) citied for failure to stop at a stop sign."
Example for menu based report: "Select incident type: Moving violation. Select further details: blah blah blah. Result: Citation issued/Handled by officer."
Or something that effect. Please let me know if this is something you would enjoy. I'm not a modder myself, but I still think it would be kinda fun.
