SnowtigerJr got a reaction from CDM.GAMING in [NVM] How do I add liveries to a police car? [NVM]Idk if you will be able to understand, but I want to open the yft or ytd file in openiv and add a texture to an existing police car. How do I do that?
Do I open police3.ytd and add "pol3_sign_5" in there?
WOOHOO FOR SELF DISCOVERY! DID IT!
The way I did it was I opened openiv and clicked edit mode, and then when I was in my gta v directory I went to update>x64>patchday4ng>dlc>x64>levels>gta5>vehicles and then I opened police3.ytd and usually there is skins in there already, named something like "pol3_sign_1" and so find how many there is. I had up to pol3_sign_4 (so, in total, I had 4 skins already in there) and so because I wanted all existing 4 that was already in there, PLUS another 1 which wasn't already in there. So then I renamed the skin that wasn't in there to "pol3_sign_5" and then clicked "import" and imported the skin in there. thus having 5 skins/liveries. Click save and then rebuild it. Done.

SnowtigerJr reacted toDeactivated Memberin LSPDFR 0.3 - November UpdateOh, you've created GTA within LSPDFR within GTA, huh?
Yo dawg I heard you liked GTA...
It's nice to see the animation, though. CopHolster is a little bit "rough", to say the least. Being able to be chased just like chasing in LSPDFR will be very nice, especially for cinematics.

SnowtigerJr got a reaction from Steele1925 in Rockstar update broke my LCPDFR ...FML ;_; I was actually playing GTA V when it crashed and then when I relaunched it, it updated and broke my game. Like, fml. If it didn't crash I could have kept playing... Why GTA gods, why!? :'( hopefully fix is up soon. Nothing better than getting home after a long day at work and catching some crims ;D

SnowtigerJr got a reaction from 19Legan81 in How do I map a vehicle?Hey, thanks, I just recently found a mapping for the Police Cruiser, and yes, thats the interceptor :) thanks anyway though!

Please don't try and mislead new members with stupid suggestions like this.
I use Adobe Photoshop myself, however both GIMP and Paint.NET are good free alternatives.
-
Yeah they tend to show the texture on a vehicle model that its designed for rather than show you a flat texture as it is in the files. I can see how you may have been confused.
-
I love you for doing this, keep up the work

SnowtigerJr reacted to Starmix in Help request for moddingIf you have OpenIV.asi and an asi loader, OpenIV will force the game to try to use the files in the mods folder first.
Yes, it will run eg. x64e.rpf from the mods folder if possible.
