I am a relative newbie but here is the deal. I went thru the trouble of deleting most of the snow off the roadcruiser and lo and behold I edited the wrong lod. Now I know there has to be an easier way to do this. I understand there is a way to select polygons by material but I have not the foggiest on how to do it. IF I could get some instruction on how to select by material or hell if one of you guys can do it I would be absolutely thrilled. This goes for the rancher also. Thanks for the read and any constructive help would be appreciated. 

Wow, I was actually wondering if someone was doing this the other day. The snow on the vehicles are cool in snowy areas, but in normal LS, its annoying lol.

When in polygon mode on the parts of snow, look in the select menu for an option called "separated". When using separated and clicking on a polygon that's part of the snow or anything for that matter, It will select all of the same matching polygons that are of the same materials of the poly you selected. Then you can delete it all without doing it click by click.

can you please release the car model without the snow? I'd really appreciate that and would use the skin. Please :)

I plan on it. However I keep getting the snow covered version ingame. I need to find all the instances of the old police car and replace it.

 

Oh, that must be annoying then :/ I know that no one else has done this car without snow, so it would be a popular download, for sure :) the snow is a pain in the ass.. I'm in the desert with a snow police car hahaha 

Losing my mind. all the lods have no snow on it yet ingame the model looks unedited, aside from missing wheels. and I replaced every one of them including the vanilla rpf one.

 

And you replaced the model and rebuilt it in openiv? 

It would appear that I am missing a step. The model is broken ingame and the snow is still there. I think I may just post my z3d and see if maybe some one else can rig it.

Yeah I have all the snow removed but I am failing in the import. I think I screwed the hierarchy up looking for help on the export.
