  1. That's how it's supposed to be, California Law.
  2. @EVI Did you get my vehicle request on your profile? Also, release the Impala! Maybe a CA version
  3. Designate a light head as California Steady Red!!! Reference: http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/d12/vc25252.htm
  4. I posted an idea here: that I would like to see in LCPDFR
  5. You are right, the callouts would have to be greatly expanded. I would hope that if implemented that you could toggle what unit you are at anytime. So if you get tired of being a traffic unit, you could switch to metro.
  6. I've had this idea for a while that LCPDFR should group the callouts. (I'm going to jack your thread a little bit, but it's related and the suggestion section is not activated yet). Basically, we define a key in the game to toggle what unit you are, sample categories could be metro/patrol, traffic/highway patrol, ESU/tactical/noose, all callouts, and maybe vice. Each category would have callouts assigned to it but selected "randomly": Metro/patrol: would get the domestic violence, fights, public intoxication traffic/highway patrol: speeding, DUI, street racing, motor vehicle accidents (if they can be coded up) ESU/Tactical/Noose: high risk warrants (you could have to collect weapons or drugs throughout the house), bank robbery, hostage, shootout Vice: prostitutes, (this category could be expanded if it could be coded: underground fight club, gambling rings) all: obvious... This would help out with role playing and if I feel like only doing traffic then I'm not bothered by domestic violence. I wouldn't imagine this wouldn't be too difficult to implement though I've not see the code but I am a java and web programmer. Again, sorry to jack your thread but I think this could help your Noose callouts.
  7. Thanks everyone for the replies! @EVI I really wish you wouldn't stop modding, I especially enjoy your CA mods! Please take up Break and Sam's offer to upload here. Thanks for the links as well and I'll give Cj24's charger a try as well. As a side note, even though I didn't grow up in CA (I live there now) I did grow up watching syndicated episodes of CHiPs which makes me obsessed with California cars!
  8. Does anyone happen to have the link to download Yakadafi's CHP slicktop charger? It's the only slicktop with the proper California steady red. He used to have a YouTube channel but when I go to my bookmarked video for the charger (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ig5KXq0D5yQ) it says he has disabled the account. Thanks in advance!
  9. Where's Poopy Face Tomato Nose? This really looks like Handi-Quacks
  10. And that's pretty much what I've spent to build mine! Before rebates of course since it takes about 12 weeks!
  11. If you want to stick with that system, I would put the money on a graphics card. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007709%20600007855%204018&IsNodeId=1&name=%24200%20-%20%24300 While your motherboard is a LGA-1155 (it could handle an i series Intel processor), it's a older chipset (H61): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGA_1155 So upgrading the processor is basically useless (bang for the buck) since the motherboard only can support 8GB of RAM @ 64bit. I would imagine you would need to dial down the GTA IV settings that take up memory. I've played LCPDFR on a system much older than yours, it just didn't look a good as the videos on YouTube!
  12. Don't understand me incorrectly, I'm not complaining about the crashes. If I can get 30 minutes of play before one that's fine, I was just curious what others were getting. I have my GTA graphics settings jacked almost all the way up and see frame rates in the mid 50s (but the high 40s do pop up).
  13. I just confirmed, that is the one. The exe is labeled: dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64.exe If your system is 32bit just use the x86 only.
  14. I believe this is the correct link: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=17718 From: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/5a4x27ek.aspx Standalone Distributional Packages
  15. I just timed myself playing LCPDFR and I got to 36 minutes and 13 seconds until the game crashed. I do have many car mods including two high poly mods from Yakadafi (The only LAPD/CHP charger that I've seen with proper California steady burn red). And I'll use Alt-F11 to get the good callouts! What's the avg time for you guys? Note: My specs are in my signature.
  16. May sound like a stupid question, but you are using ELS enabled cars right? Are you enabling the siren via the ELS key or the GTA IV key (normally mapped to the same key which is annoying)?
  17. Was this worked on in .95? I've noticed some of these issues listed (police AI and the ability to make a person wanted) are addressed in .95RC1.
  18. If you want to use the LA Mod (or any mod), DO NOT buy 2012!!! Official Info: http://forum.emergency-planet.com/index.php?/topic/13502-em2012-is-not-moddable/ As David said, get 911FR and the LA Mod and you will have fun for hours!
  19. Congrats!! Echoing what AussieMerc said, NB's videos is how I found out about this mod!!!

    LCPD

And once their site is back to functioning normally I will; but a name or keyword for the skin would be helpful

Great Skin! Do you have a link for it?
