Lakeview County Police have one person in custody following an apparently police impersonation case.
Officers were called to Highway 5 just after one this morning, after a motorist said they had been stopped by a suspicious vehicle flashing red and blue lights.
When officers arrived they found an older model vehicle outfitted with red and blue flashing lights, and a male wearing a security uniform.
The male has since been arrested and is facing charges of Personating a Peace Officer.
"We encourage drivers to be wary of the fact that Lakeview County Police do not utilize unmarked police vehicles to perform traffic stops, and that if you are indicated to stop by an unmarked vehicle, to activate your hazard lights, and contact 911 dispatchers to confirm the stop." said Supervisor II Travis Stilst.
"All Lakeview County Police Vehicles are painted white, and are outfitted with the proper police markings on all sides of the vehicles. In addition, all Lakeview County Police Vehicles have a special licence plate that faces the front and back that indicates it is a registered emergency vehicle."
"At no time is a Lakeview County Police Officer permitted to make a stop without a police uniform."
Lakeview County Police are still investigating the incident, and will release further information later on this afternoon.

After the recent prison break and escape of Pablo Escobar, the State of San Andreas has put the state's law enforcement agencies on high alert.
The state highways, local cities, and counties should expect heavy police presence.
The state is now working together with IAB. FIB, LSPD, LSCSD, and SAHP to find and apprehend the escapee.
