  1. alright awesome man thanks so much for clarifying.
  2. Thanks alot for the response, so my understanding would be that you could not use ELS alongside this mod correct?
  3. Sorry if this has been asked before but do you need ELS to play this? I read the FAQ and the requirements but did not see an answer to this question. videos ive watched seemed to look like ELS was being used but I couldn't say for sure lol. Sorry if its a repeat question just want to make sure I will be installing everything correctly. Thank You,
  4. I am having the same issue. If you read through the thread there are some carvariations files you can replace in OpenIV that are supposed to fix the problem but the issue persists for me despite having done this. The sirensettings inside that carvariations file is supposed to be set to "1" but even after manually checking that I still have the same offset lights that you do. I would also appreciate an answer to this if anyone has found a more recent one.
  5. Im extremely excited for this lol. I didn't think I would be back to checking this page every day again haha. As for suggestions I always feel weird suggesting things to mod authors since I have no idea how easy/hard something would be to implement but I do think having a hot sheet of peds for every patrol would be neat. Like a list is populated of peds in the area to be on the lookout for every time the player starts a new patrol. The player has to keep in mind that these names/faces/outfits are wanted for questioning or for a warrant and during the course of a players patrol they could come across these peds. I think it just adds some more things to keep on the lookout for and gives the player something to check and a goal to aim for every time they start new patrol. Even better if you could have locations they frequent as well so the player would actually have to scan for the peds in these specific area. Just my thoughts of something to implement. Can't wait to see what you guys ultimately decide to put in here!
  6. thats unacceptable! there are apps for this sort of thing now!
  7. Would it be too much to ask what, if any i guess, specific blockers there are to releasing .3? Im not trying to some how ask for a release date in a roundabout way. This sort of thing, modding and the way modders decide to get around various problems, just interests me and I would enjoy reading through what sorts of problems the team is running into and how they are figuring out addressing them. If not its cool, im just curious.
  8. Blankdeck I agree with you that there should be some place to repair your patrol car in the future but just so you know you can open the console in ragehook by pressing f4 and type "repair" (minus the quotes) to repair your current vehicle. Hopefully this helps you out in the meantime. Also for those asking for a prisoner transport feature, there is a way you can sort of do this within the current version. You can call for backup and once the car arrives walk the arrested npc over to the backup car and press f. Your character should open the rear door of the car but not get inside it. After a few seconds the npc should get into the backup's car and sit there. Eventually the backup officers will return to their vehicle and drive off. Make sure you use code 2 or code 3 when doing this though as pursuit backup might not go to your location. I know its not a dedicated feature but maybe it can work for some people until the devs figure something out.
  9. This might sound like a stupid question, I have never modded a GTA game before this so I hope you guys can forgive me if it is haha, but is it possible (or does it seem possible in the future) to create and add your own animations into GTA V? I ran a heavily modded skyrim and this was possible through things like FNIS or even replacing animations with your own. It seems like the devs are running into trouble finding animations for certain things and if new animations could be added im sure there are more than a few members of the community that would be willing to make some for this mod. Hell its been a few years since I booted up 3ds max but I might be willing to try and make something if this is at least possible.
  10. So im pretty new to the community and this is actually my first post on these forums. Im completely new to modding GTA although not new to modding in general. With that out of the way I just want to say a couple things. First and foremost I want to congratulate the team on having an initial release this stable. Installation was a breeze as well which is awesome. The mod itself has been a blast to play so far and has only left me with excitement in regards to where it will go next. As for suggestions I only have a few and they are things im certain are already in the works but i figure ill toss them out anyway. First, I would like to see a way to detain or arrest people without pointing your gun at them. Sometimes it can feel a bit unnecessary if im pointing my gun at someone who isn't resisting. Also it would be nice to have a way to release people from handcuffs (if we can already do this then I just haven't found out how yet). If anything this would be nice in the event that a player arrests the wrong person or ends up getting a way more important call. The animations are great in general although personally I feel they could be a bit slower but thats more a matter of opinion than a real suggestion. More types of calls would be nice (fight at a bar, searching for a suspect on foot, domestic dispute, etc.) Perhaps some of these calls could not even involve making an arrest. Being called to help find a gun or drugs that a suspect dropped during a pursuit might be cool. Finally, it might be cool to have something to do after a pursuit is over. For example if the suspect was shot and killed during the pursuit the player could be asked to take some pictures of the scene (suspects body and vehicle maybe) and send them to someone. Just to add some closure to the pursuit itself. Just some suggestions I had while playing but all in all the mod is a total blast so far and I can't wait to see how it develops in the future.
