  1. Sorry for the late reply. I do run it in compatibility mode. My OS is Windows 8.1 I will do the test and get back to ya'll Still nothing. I switched gta4Browser, gtaEncoder, and GTA IV to windows 7 compatibility and sadly still nothing. I even went to the GTAIV folder and manually launched GTA IV as administrator but that just gave me an infinite loading screen. I have no ideas left at all but i am pretty determined to fix this.
  2. Sorry I forgot to quote you, my computer specs are show above.
  3. (My Computer Specs) OS- Windows 8.1 Processor- Intel Core i5-4460 CPU @ 3.20GHz 3.20GHz (Quad Core Processor) Ram- 8GB System Type- 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor Graphics Card- Intel HD Graphics 4600 (Integrated/Built in) that is a possibility but it doesn't explain why the problem persists even after installing different setup/version of LCPD:FR unless something to my original LCPD:FR files is still applying itself to new LCPD:FR.
  4. I assume you all have heard of the issue regarding the police scanner not having any audio and I am sure you are aware that there is no permanent fix to this issue either. Jg45042 and I have been constantly working on this problem for about 2 weeks and here is what I came up with. I think this problem is that LCPD:FR is having trouble reading and executing the audio files in the "Police Scanner" folder because when I remove the files and ran the game it said "LCPD:FR as encountered an error and ETC" when I called for back up. So I think the root problem is LCPD:FR and I highly doubt this will happen because of LSPD:FR being released, but I think an updated would be required to fix this problem, I know it is asking a lot but many people are facing this problem alone with little to no help. Only myself and jg45042 have been putting everything we have into this problem to fix it. As I said I really doubt an update will happen but I am just asking for anybody to at least take a look and go over the the topic I posted to see if you could perhaps find something that we all could have missed. We need all the help we can get and I really appreciate any help we get (The topic link will be provided below) http://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/topic/51102-no-police-radio-sounds/?page=1#comment-341624
  5. No dice... But on a plus note here is what I discovered, It seems like the problem is NOT with the sound files. I removed the entire audio files from LCPDFR folder and ran the game, when I called for back up it said "LCPDFR as encountered an error and crashed. This tells me that LCPDFR is having problems executing the files.

  7. I updated my system (74 updates) and looked to see if there was any updates to my auido driver (none) there has so be some way to fix this. The only idea i have now to to change the format of the audio files from .WAV to something else like .MP3.
  8. well my malewarebytes only turns on when i tell it to. It dont stay on like Avast or AVG
  9. I found something pretty strange. I did a virus scan (Malwarebytes) on my computer in hopes I could find a hint to why my police radio has no sound and after the scan was done I noticed that my LCPD:FR setups were detected as PUPS (PUP.Optional.OpenCandy). For those who don't know, PUP stands for Potentially Unwanted Program. These programs are not necessarily viruses but are just programs that may be have be installed along with another program the user wanted. These "PUPS" can act very similar to adware, spyware, dailers and even malware. But there is nothing to worry because LCPD:FR can be sometimes picked up as malware according to LCPD:FR staff. But I think it is just some false positives.and I am pretty confident that LCPD:FR is COMPLETELY safe since I have been using it for quite a bit with no problem. But the reason it concerns me enough to make a post is because I have had some bad problems due to OpenCandy on my old PC and I just wanted to see if anyone else had this be picked up in their scans. P.S- If anyone has any information regarding the problem with no police radio sounds please let me know. I would really appreciate it! :D
  10. Its a very annoying problem. I am constantly working on it and I will update everyone if i ever find a fix. I am thinking about updating my audio driver
  11. So here is what happened. I changed my -availablevidmem 8 to 4 and after I ran the game the graphics was just awful but once i found the police station I went it and it got stuck on the loading screen. then I changed it to 6 and the graphics got a little better, i managed to become an officer but sadly still no radio sound. (The top picture is when -availablevidmem 4 was enabled and the 2nd picture is when -availablevidmem 6 was enabled)
  12. haha xD talk to you soon man!
  13. well i dont plan on giving up. I want this to be fixed. I will post the results of the next test around 5 or 6. I am not home right now lol
  14. hmm that does make sense but i use to have it set to 20 and sound worked great. I will lower it and post the results when i get back home (i am at my gf's dads for fathers day)
  15. also on another note i do have a Realtek audio driver, so maybe if i update or change it may fix this issue. Or i could change the format of the audio files to something more runable.
