is it possible to set ELS up in a "lite" way ... i dont use lspdfr however i want to use els vehicles for my AI emergency vehicles ... any advice, or is this not possible?

yes the way i have my game set up atm i use a physics mod that effects players vehicle only... it adds mass to the car and makes it handle pretty awesome its a script called "true realistic driving V" cool thing about this script is you can adjust it i have mine set to 0.5 ... this method give you stiffer handling vanilla cars ... give ai complete and total control over their shit ... and i do emphasize the word shit here. im currently working on a handling.meta file that will spice some things up. and with the 3 mods there you will see significantly more realistic gta 5 experience ... do keep in mind that spot fixes are being worked out ... occationally you may find a stop sign being ran by ai ... report any strange bugs to TakeYaBackToStation4BumVio so that he can adjust it . this mod doesnt really mess with dlcpacks so you can just use the same old dlcpack file ... it does change the vehicles.meta folder in update i believe, so if you've been doing some modding in those files it can be kinda a bummer to lose hand placed values in those files... i went through that. however an uninstaller wouldn't even fix that issue ... because uninstallers are just vanilla installers... just goes back to making backups. when you're using mods that edit any of the main meta files, weither you made them yourself or downloaded them and installed them ... to keep those mods active you're going to need to hand place the values into the folder after installing this mod or any other mod that updates those files. Just like modding any other game its important to know what files are changed when installing mods. because if you're like me and change all that stuff its easy to overwrite hard work. hints lots and lots of backups ... the way i work with gta5 is i keep a folder with many many different versions backed up.

yeah man some morons been ganging up on him. they're always talking about getting an uninstaller and there was a bunch of drama about it... they're bombing him with fake 0 reviews... what you want to do is make sure you back up your mods folder before you use an automatic installer of any kind. i too had an issue at first but thankfully i make more backups than a car in reverse ... i just dont mention uninstaller to my boy TakeYaBack cause he got ragged on by a couple ass monkey mods over at 5mods

the easiest way would be to have a backed up mods folder and replace it ... otherwise you'll have to start over ... if you have a lot of dlc pack files you can just copy out your dlcpack folder and dlclist.xml and start over.

make a back up of your mods folder before installing any mods that alter it... i have an external hard drive where i keep all my backups and 2TB is dedicated to gta 5 and half of that alone is mod folders from different versions. BACK UP YOUR FILES GUYS

I cant think of any off the top, i dont know too too much about the flags however FLAG_HAS_LIVERY is one im trying to add to trailer3 and the rest of the trailers that dont have it. im doing a project atm which replaces the standard trailers and adds a bunch of liverys to the replaced .... however i think it has a performance impact when adding too many liverys im starting to see flashing white. may be related to something else though i also have like 50 addon cars. at the level that im doing it... i added 13 liverys to one of the trailers. it is nice for my 28' trailer (trailers3) to have the livery FLAG , because in the original game for some reason it didnt have it. therefore it was locked to 1 livery. another project id like to work on is tweaking the commercial vehicles respawn frequencies.. so i could see more of said trailers.... my reason for that is in america and certainly LA soooo much of the traffic is commercial vehicles and tractor-trailers and in my game i rearly see them. I think FLAG_HAS_LIVERY would be good to add to every single car by default if it doesnt cause issues... because some vehicles such as that trailer may use only one livery without it. other than that i am starting to look at collision and weapon damage from a vehicles.meta stand point... i have always tweaked it from the handling.meta .... now im ramblin'

1122 i was reading a topic you had been involved in that in editing vehicles.meta you took out FLAG_HAS_LIVERY . i have a hunch that its not true, but is that true? or is that misinformation ? if it is true would adding it back to some vehicles or in my case trailers cause issues?

are there any areas where AI just completely ignore you trying to stop traffic ? seems like if i try to stop traffic at Great Ocean HWY / West Eclipse blvd intersection, they ignore all warning signs and just pile-drive into one another. idk if im doing something wrong but the mod works well in other places such as Senora fwy / East Joshua rd

i would like to make the bottom 6 leds on the back of the light bar to amber... for traffic advisory. how would i go about doing that? i was looking at the emis, but i didnt have a whole lot of luck .. i found the right texture. however when i tried to change it, it didnt work. instead it changed all the lights colors. also in ELS i changed it from euro to manual .. but when i hit J, in game my 1st stage lights dont show anything , ive been playing a lot with the ELS xml, did things that i thought would work but had no luck .. is it possible to change that? absolutely beautiful cars btw ! and the light bar just looks flat out B A

YOUTUBERS ARE WELCOME TO USE read this stuff before installing. hey guys Aaron here first off sorry for my grammer it sucks, and this will be my very first release, its been ready for a month or so. im pretty much green horn, but i know how to create a skin. i did this for myself and liked how it came out. now i want to share it. sorry if i step on any toes here.. thats not my intention at all. hopefully i dont make a fool of myself. laugh out loud. This truck skin is based off a local tow truck company here in the Serria Nevadas of Northern California The Motherlode. ive seen them my whole life, therefore i decided i want to see them in GTA too. the company is Sam Berri Towing. This is not one of there specific paint schemes, even the logo itself is a little different from all the real ones; However this is more of a umm, "inspired replica" , that works we can call it that. Enough Rambling! so lets get to towing.. here are the steps for the tow skin i have created. step 1 download the tow truck from or https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/ford-s331-towtruck-us-plates these links are for the us plates version obviously. download and install follow their model. me path is... openiv/gtav/mods/x64/dlcpacks/patchday11ng/dlc.rpf/x64/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf mine is in patchday11ng ... but where ever you put your tow truck files find the towtruck.ytd (or towtruck2.ytd if you renamed it) open the file with edit mode on. click " arm " texture. click replace. find the file where you have my downloaded skin select the arm.png now click "doors" texture. click replace. it should remember the file from last the previous step select the door.png 3rd click "front" and then go ahead and click the replace button. select from your front.png now to replace the rear of the tow truck select rear once again click replace and then click the rear.png after this is done click the traanplaat and go in for one last time and grab the my traanplaat.png make sure to click save and it will automatically close the window. if openiv crashes here then try to save after each texture file. should be good from there. maybe in the future i can include choice range for px count. 2k/4k/8k ill be working on it for sure. but for now im going to post what i have tested and seen good results with ... i have put in all 8k and its too overwelming for my build. or atleast thats what i was thinking. launch gta 5 and spawn it in ...i have both tow truck slots filled with the same vehicle. wanna get into modding
hey guys ive been quietly watching the community here since early lcpdfr ... ive always had a lot of ideas but never did anything to develop those ideas. they dont seem to stop i always have new ideas, maybe some day, i dont know. but i figured a good place to start would be something super easy like a skin texture. i did not have intention to post this project nor any project when starting. but only summoned the courage recently. i'm usually the background kinda guy and i do not want to step on any toes, but i just really want to share my skin texture that i have created. so i figured id ask some questions here. what should i know before posting? my skin is based off a local tow truck company. what permissions do i need to get from them before posting. since its like an addition to another mod obviously i will have to direct everyone to the original mod and have them download the truck as well and ill have a readme in my files. all this said i know other people have been posting textures for the truck. and i dont want to step on their toes ... my intention is not competition but merely sharing my art.
