  1. Since I finally got LCPDFR up and running (windows 8 install issues), I am curious on how to install other cars, like where to put the files. Also what mods would compliment LCPDFR, like mods to get a tow truck or more radio options. I did see a pretty sweet FHP mod but forgot which one it was. Also what mods, if any, would improve graphics, some of the pictures up have awesome graphics. Thanks for your help.
  2. how do you add it to the game? as in where do I put the files?
  3. I finally got it to work a few days ago. (Just now had time to update this). I ended up contacting Rockstar, who said to uninstall everything and reinstall in compatability mode, like you said, but update it before I attempt to launch it the first time. That seemed to do the trick. Just got one more question, which isn't related to this topic, but what mod would give me better graphics and uniforms and better cars? right now I only have LCPDFR and I was wondering what other mods would supplement that good? Thanks again for your help.
  4. Ok, I didn't quite use windows XP SP3, I used the compatibility troubleshooter, which ran It in Vista SP2, and now it seems to be installing. I am going to update it from Rockstar, I assume and that should fix the rest of the issues Now that it is installed, it just crashes, saying "GTAIV has stopped responding" right after I launch it through social club. Any ideas?
  5. Thanks, didn't realize I had it in the wrong spot.
  6. Just tried that for Windows Vista, but that didn't seem to work. It sill came up with "your system is incompatible for GTA IV, please click this link for more information" but the link doesn't even work. Thanks for the try, I didn't think of that!
  7. Good afternoon everyone! I am trying to install GTA IV on my new computer, which I built. It is running windows 8.1 64 bit with 8gb of RAM, AMD Fx 8 core processor 4.0 ghz. I got a digital download from Amazon, but after it installs Rockstar social club it won't install the game. It says this version of windows is not supported. I am really lost as what to do. There are several different forums and support topics that deal with this issue- but they all have different ways and some negate each other. The majority that I have seen are for windows 7. If anyone had this issue and can help, I would greatly appreciate it. I got GTA IV just for LCPDFR, and I can't wait to play it. Also, I believe I have the most current version of Games for Windows Live. It finally installed, but when I attempt to launch it from rockstar social club, it says "GTA Stopped responding" any ideas on how to fix that now? Either im unlucky or technology isn't my friend today.
  8. GTA IV Will not launch since I installed the mod. It is up to date. It gave an access denied error, but unchecking read only and running as admin fixed that. Now it wont give an error but will not go further than the command prompt. Does anyone have any idea of what is going on? I am using windows 7 ultimate on a Mac (boot camped). Any advice or help is greatly appreciated. Update: I guess I didnt update it but it is now. The error message I get is GTAIV.exe- Ordinal not found The ordinal 5367 could not be located in the dynamic link library xlive.dll.
