  1. You appear to be missing ScriptHook. This is needed to load scripts. Make sure to install everything required in the ELS folder. Hope this helps.
  2. Yeah of course having a ridiculously emissive value will help but it's not the ideal fix at all. That's a very good point about a script though, perhaps create a new thread and request someone knowledgeable to give it a go?
  3. Hahaha, it needs to be in pounds as I'm British! I'll get round to sorting it out I'm sure.
  4. No, sorry. In fact I recently started playing IV again and when I get ELS V8 I'm going to see if the bloom works similarly. Eventually I'll get round to sorting V's bloom though.
  5. Exact same issue here. Thought I'd installed it wrong or something but obviously it needs fixing!
  6. @sixium Can you record your Gamma2 tones so that I could make it into a siren mod?
  7. In America I'd say Federal Signal SmartSiren/SS2200, Whelen 295 Series (HF/SL), Whelen Gamma2/Epsilon or Federal Signal Touchmaster Delta are very common sirens for Police.
  8. Try asking Double Doppler or BritishGamer88, or ask anyone who regularly makes sirens on this site would be better
  9. You misread his request. He is not after a Met Police siren, he is after a Stirling Automotive Tri-Sound (or 'MetSound') siren, the first electronic police siren made in the UK that was used by the Met in the 80s and 90s. As for one being made for GTA V, you can always convert one from IV that has already been made, such as one by gta4ishardcore.
  10. You must change the values in carcols! Make sure you download and use the latest version of the xml converted carcols, make sure all values are replaced to 0 and make sure it is reimported into the correct file in OpenIV. That's all I can help you with. That's the only fix and it should work.
  11. ELS has it's own taillight corona flash which can be disabled by setting them to 0 in the VCF file, but they are normally disabled by default anyway. ELS doesn't disable GTA 5's built-in taillight flashing. You must ensure the values in carcols.xml are all replaced to 0. There's no other reason why it wouldn't work.
  12. You can do it manually or there might be a mod called Tailight flash removal. To do it manually, you need to download carcols.xml from the OpenIV team on GTA5Mods.com. Then open it in Notepad and Replace All "1431655765" and "2863311530" and replace all to "0". This turns off taillight flashing. Save and replace carcols in update.rpf\x64\data in OpenIV.
  13. Only the vehicle authors can set up ELS coronas when creating their vehicles in a model editor such as ZModeler. There is no other way. Besides, I have already said that even properly setup ELS coronas are still pretty poor. I am going to look through game files related to SSAO, HBAO etc. and see if I can increase bloom at a distance.
  14. Well partly yes because most vehicle authors don't bother to set up ELS coronas properly on their vehicle, some don't even at all. However even with ELS coronas, the lights still don't look that great from the distance.
  15. Non-ELS cars typically had coronas setup correctly so yes they did look good but ELS coronas are trash in my opinion. If I can't find a way in the game files to increase emissive bloom you will have to use ELS coronas if you want to see some shininess in the distance.
  16. Nope, it would work there's no reason why it wouldn't it's just a name hash. ELS doesn't need configuring to use other hashes. "0x161768E7" is not the hash anyway it's just the file name so it wouldn't work if you put that in the VCF anyway. The hashes could be something like "FIRE_MAINSIREN" (just an example) and then inputting that into the VCF it will work but we just don't know the names of the hashes except for the LSPD default sirens.
  17. No because each vehicle has its own primary and secondary siren. The warning siren is either POLICE_WARNING or AMBULANCE_WARNING, that's just how GTA is setup,. Effectively, ELS could be updated and developers could find a way to have 'Addon Sirens' but each siren file in GTA 5 has its own hash - all ELS needs to use a siren sound is its hash.
  18. Really? I thought the hashes just needed inputting into the VCF vehicle file. The ELS mod doesn't need changing, just the hashes need identifying.
  19. Hello all, So it's been getting on for a year now since ELS V was released, which I must say is a great mod which clearly has really had effort put into, certainly when you compare the first version of ELS for IV. However, one thing I (and possible a silent majority) are particularly frustrated with is why not a single scripter/coder/modder has been able to find out what the audio hashes are for all the GTA V sirens, which in turn can then be used within the VCF files for ELS. Is it really such a difficult, time-consuming task to crack the hashes? I am in no way criticising the ELS mod or work behind it, however I am finding it quite unbearable hearing the same siren on every emergency vehicle in-game. If this isn't brought to light with the ELS team then perhaps some knowledgeable individuals and modders could give it a go at getting the other sirens working with ELS? Cheers
  20. Don't bother with ELS coronas. 90% are set up incorrectly by authors and are pretty bad. Set the Coronas distance to 1000.0 in ELS.ini so you won't see them. I am currently looking into the HBAO, SSAO and related files to see if I can increase the bloom cutoff for vehicle emissives. I will update you on anything.
  21. Reduce the CityDensity a little, maybe to 1.2. Seems strange though, I have a pretty average PC and get no crashes from it. Crashes only happen when I go above 1.4.
  22. Here's what I do to get realistic city traffic: 1. Go into Documents/Rockstar Games/GTA V and settings.xml. Scroll down and change the CityDensity value to 1.400000 (must not be any higher or the game will crash). 2. Download LS Traffic by Cass on GTA5Mods and use the OIV package installer, this will not overwrite any gameconfig.xml, just add/change required values. Done! Expect a small performance drop but much more realistic city traffic.
