  1. Yes lets try using the x64e since I am 90% done going in that direction
  2. since I am installing the car as a new add-on in x64e and using the basic update/update/common/data/handling and then vehicles files, where do I find the carvariation that will hook to this car? Also, do I need to set any of the livery settings to true in the carvariation file? They are all currently false.
  3. Yes I renamed them all to buick, all 4 files, but it didn't come with a carvariation, carcol, or anything else. So this means I need to add a new set of lines for a Buick in carvariation?
  4. When I first downloaded the car it was all titles sabregt since its a replacement. So, woudl my next step mean that I need a carvariation set of lines for it since I changed the name to Buick?
  5. Okay so lets not confuse things. You saw what I added and how I did it. What is my exact next step to get modifications linked to this car?
  6. Do I need to update my vehicle flags? I want livery and modifications. What are those flags? I mean, do I leave the mods as sabregt since they are made for that car, or do I change those files to buick?
  7. I got the buick to spawn, but still no mods work with it. What is the main file that connects the game modifications to the car? Then, what name do I connect the car with, "buick" or Sabregt? At this point I will tell you exactly what i did to get us this far. I put the three car files into mods/x64e I added a buick set of lines into the handling file I added a buick set of lines into the vehicle file. The car came with a buick_mods.rpf file. I put this exactly where they told me to mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\patchday1ng\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\patchday1ng\vehiclemods That is all at this point and it spawns perfectly with paint options, but no modifications.
  8. That didn't work either. I don't know man, its almost not even worth it anymore. I might just simply replace the car. I have been trying everything for almost a week now. I know how to install them when they are already pre-made and I can follow directions, but for this one, I have no clue and just about at the end of my perseverance.
  9. It might have to0 do with that buick_mods rpf. I am going to try something. I might be putting that in the wrong place.
  10. Okay, I followed your steps and tried it again. It didn't work. There's something in these files that might be off. You can try it if you want.
  11. Okay so what is throwing me off is that I do not have this file patch x64-->levels-->gta 5-->vehicles-->xmas2vehicles.rpf. no vehicles or xmas2vehicles files. I would assume I should just create those files? So I currently have the car able to load from my trainer as an add-on and I did this in a similar way installing into x64e, but with this I do not have any modifications options and my colors are limited primary&secondary. Will your way give me these exact same results OR will I now be able to use the modifications?
  12. So I guess that is where I am completely confused. Lets start over... So all I currently have are the replacement 4 Buick files. Then I made a vehicle file and then a handling file for it. Now what? I guess I am not as smart as you thought with this so instruct me as if I were a noobie. What else do I need and where do I place everything? It's not making sense.

  15. Maybe I can even simplify. Do I really need all of those files? I just want the car, paint, livery, wheel modifications, suspension modifications, window tint, and a few others such as supercharger hood etc. Would that be easy for you to put that together?   16. Ah, no I had that as buick on my first many attempts and then I downloaded a Chevelle and they had that as sabregt, so I just changed it back on the last attempt. Good catch. That wasn't it though.

  18. @Arariel, Thank you so so much for that. Actually I was referring to a non police vehicle. This one here https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/buick-gsx-1970 I tried everything. I changed everything accordingly, followed step by step, added, made new files, you name it. And still I can't get it to open. I updated the dlclist and the other one as well. Would you want to give it a shot? I tried just replacing the sabregt, but I get tired of it spawning everywhere and its a very hi res car so I lose major performance. What do you think? I am pretty much just trying to get it as an add-on, but also being able to utilize the modifications such as wheels, suspention and a few other stock things that would work in the game.
  19. Awesome thank you Luke. Actually Google has not been a big help to me on anything GTA V related so far. Community has been much more help, but not able to answer most of my questions though. I have had to figure most of my issues out on my own, but this is very helpful. Do I need both? It seems the "Keep Calm" mod has both options. I am still trying to figure out how to make a car a add-on instead of a replacement and video and video, and thread after thread don't seem to help. So, your chiming in is truly far more effective than google at this point for a few of my main issues. Thanks very much. EDIT: Also while you are here, is there any way to make the select key in LSPDFR the NUM5 key instead of Enter? I assume probably not since there is no way to reassign key bindings. Just wondering if maybe I missed a fix or way around this.
  20. Hey guys, how in the world can i stop the peds going insane after a gunshot. I can hardly do an arrest without being run over by a civilian. I am tired of a absolute chaos when a gun is fired. In real life I think people would get away, but in my game they seem to be attracted to me and run me over crash into me and the victim numerous times until we are dead. I already have a cautions driver mod and the no speech free roam mod, but we are still missing the safe mod when a gun is shot. So do you know of a mod that will help this or do you know where the ped personality file is located?
  21. I found a potential fix if this helps anyone. The rumor is that we can just set out computer date back past April 2015 and that fixes it. I haven't tried it yet. We shall see.
  22. Just downloaded the 1970 chevell and literally replaced each name with "buick" and each require file with my buick flies. Car does not load and my player freezes. What is going on?   23. I have taught myself how to add on a car, sort of, but how can I make this car utilize the in-game modifications such as wheels, etc.? I pretty much took the Sabregt files and renamed them to Buick. I changed every name under the sabregt that was required to Buick. So far I have a vehicle file and a handling file for my Buick that I took from the Sabregt. What other files do I need to update? I have a feeling you guys might say I need the carcol and carvariation file. Where are both of these? I am using the mods folder. Please guide me to the sabregt files for these two. Thanks. Edit: I even started with a car that was already a DLC addon and just went through correcting and changing all the files to the correct Buick. I used handling from sabregt. Didn't work. Game still runs, but character freezes and I have to restart game. Need your help. Thanks.
  24. Guys, is there any way to remove the Activation checker? It just happened to me again. I am going to try your trick, but man this is annoying. Any fix to detach them from my launcher.exe forever? It seems that have a 10 day timer hooked in the game to make sure of activation or some weird thing like that. There has got to be something right? EDIT: It didn't work. I turned off the firewall and the instant the cancel button showed up I canceled. Now game won't even start. I used the ragehook way and the normal launcher way and both don't work. I went into OpenIV and I can't access because it says my files are corrupted now. So how do you guys deal with this and why do I seem to be the only one facing this issue? Maybe not, but it doesn't seem like there is a fix for this even though a lot of people are saying there game is fixed now. There is little to no discussion about my issue with activation. What's the deal? EDIT 2: And another thing, each time I have to log in it requires a small download most likely getting me back to stock vanilla version. So it deletes all my police cars, cars, and guns. Even if it were to sign in in the future, how can it keep my add on cars and guns? I don't currently have my mod folder set up correctly. So i am just using in game files. Please help me to keep all my cars, guns, and even handling settings please.
  25. Wow, what a great idea. Thank you so much for that info. So this is how you currently get around it? I just want to make sure I am doing it the best and right way. Will there at some point be a mod or something that can finally deactivate social club like in GTA IV? Would be great. By the way are you the guy who created all the LSPDFR+, arrest manager, etc? If so, I just started using it for the first time tonight and I am blown away how amazing this game is. I cannot believe my eyes. Great job. I just wonder why these things such as frisk, grab onto the arrested ped, and a few other things weren't already implemented into LSPDFR. It makes it complicated to remember all the keys and features when they all come separate you know? Amazing though and the calls are just brilliant. I couldn't believe it that when I showed up at the murder crime scene that we could then go find the murderer. Wow, pure genius on writing this script. Just wow.
