I know what you mean. I also hope it's stable, but for some modders (like me) it's our only hope in making decent lighting for our vehicles.
I really do hope it comes out.

The Whelen Alpha is looking good so far. In fact, I'll be releasing the siren mod in a few minutes since the looping of the wail and the yelp are perfect (although the sound quality isn't perfect). 
 
They sound a bit too loud but then again Whelen sirens in general are loud as hell.

This siren would be perfect for the ambulance as well I think

I'm using better LED and Coronas, the lights still flash a tad red but its not as noticable.

I am waiting for my friend to finish skins, then I'll release it.

School's taking up most of my time, but this weekend I should finish the Ambulance and maybe the SAHP Gresley.

Agreed, it is pretty much a flat surface with a few bumps on it and TERRIBLE texturing. Probably the same guy who mapped the vehicles.

Sorry bud. This won't be possible until we can openly edit the pedestrian models with openFormats. Not to mention, the belt would clip with the vest quite horrendously.

I just wish we could get rid of those terrible Sheriff Peds.... whoever designed the vests for that model should be fired...

Almost done with the Maverick, then I'll make either the Ambo or the Gresley.

BTW, if anyone could replace that horrible and ugly halogen lightbar on the ambulance, then that would be great.

I'm not sure if it's about encryption, I guess just no one experienced enough looked into it.
I don't have a lot of knowledge in the way vehicles work in RAGE and all that, just learning.

Horrible, terrible and ugly fixing and messing around with the items IDs. If Rockstar would see that, they'd ban me.
You'd also have to give up with the flashing lightbar textures.

I'll do it in due time, once people have found out how to make them fully blue.
UK ~ Primary lights are blue, red lights flash alternatively (left/right) and warn traffic the police vehicle has come to a stop or is at a scene.
When the vehicle is parked, it is common for only the side modules to flash (Metropolitan Police)
