  1. Dan, it's Scott. Stretch out to 8Gb of RAM if you can to compensate for memory leaks in GTA IV.
  2. Yep, play GTA IV or SA until it comes out. If your computer's a beast, you can get some awesome mods for IV, which will make it really fun and enjoyable.
  3. Yay Harper! I've tried to keep up with all of these. Nice vids!
  4. If you're using a keyboard, tap the keys to make small adjustments. Like unr3al said, you don't need to hold down on the gas, so just tap that (or hold in short burts) when needed.
  5. I just installed this and I love it! They are brilliant.
  6. All my friends are/were looking forward to Black Ops II. Who gives a crap about CoD? I don't. GTA IS WHERE IT'S AT! GTA V is looking amazing so far, I can't wait for the trailer in 7-8 hours time.
  7. Android is hugely customisable and ultimately, mostly open-source.
  8. If I'm trying to play realistically... During chases I try to keep my damage, peds' car damage and street object damage minimal. This is important as in real life, no cop goes driving down the sidewalk unless COMPLETELY necessary and only if the pathway is totally empty. You could 'walk the beat' and patrol on foot, doing random traffic and trunk checks. Stick to code 1, code 2 and code 3 rules.
  9. I'm not proficient in acronyms for police departments yet... How about FHP or Osceola County Sheriff's Department? I'll edit in the link when I find it.
  10. So... TL/DR thread. However, from this thread, I can gather 3 main things: - It's hinting towards dogs/animals, why is that? I'm just using stuff that's been suggested to find an explanation by the way. - Female police officers. - Hint to Love Fist; the band from VC. It says it on the girl's top in the top poster
  11. What patch do you have installed for GTA IV?
  12. Do you have VSync enabled for starters?
  13. So I reinstalled my game yesterday... I thought that reinstalling would make it run quicker. No mods = No lag was the theory. However, I went to play multiplayer with a friend and I got about 2 fps and ended up getting kicked from the server. The really confusing thing is that the game is running a lot slower than it did with mods on. I could get about 40-50 even 60 fps with loads and loads of mods, but a fresh install doesn't seem to want to perform. I'm running the latest patch. Can anyone help me out? I'm looking for some must-have tweaks for my game. (I'm already using a commandline.txt) Thanks.
  14. They look pretty good. But like Sgt. Jackson said, it's probably best to wait until November 8th before making any accurate guesses.
  15. WOW. Your mods never fail to impress. Very, very good work produced for every mod. Must take you a lot of time! :)
  16. It's brilliant. Playing online with friends is just amazing. You get really sucked into it.
  17. Dedicated graphics cards are a must for laptops. However, with a lot of tweaking, some people have been able to achieve stable FPS with an Intel HD graphics card.
  18. We should start an official LCPD:FR PAYDAY Steam group so we can all add each other and play together! Add me on Steam: zzscottzz or my current name: ScottN
  19. Had the PS3 version and played the life out of it. It's epic. I've just got it on PC from Steam for
  20. CanIRunIt isn't a very good representation as it's just showing R*'s recommended requirements, which are too low to run the game. GTA IV isn't a very good port from consoles which results in poor performance on even the most powerful of computers. Try getting rid of your road textures because they could be slowing down the game substantially. Also, as much as you might not like to do it, lower your settings. If this doesn't work, click the 'optimal settings' on the settings menu. It sounds stupid, but making the settings higher makes the game run faster on my PC! Check the size of your car mods. Car mods of a higher Mb count than 2-3 are very high poly models. That can cause low FPS. Also try and uninstall every mod that isn't working. It might be causing low FPS because they are trying to load but not working. If you have any script mods, temporarily remove them and see if that helps. Hope this helps ya'!
  21. Nice! Glad it helped! If you're looking for Charger models, you can find them in the LCPDFR download section at the top of the page. If you need any help with installing those mods, just reply back on here and I'll be more than happy to help you out. :D
  22. Hmmm, that's odd. Usually turning the multiplier of that command doesn't work but in your case it is working!
