  1. Hey I love this mod, but any chance we will ever see this mod be like the ALPR system GTA IV had? I hate having to manuever the red circle around especially for vehicles passing in the opposite lane. For those unaware, ALPR in lcpdfr would pick up the closest vehicles to you, and it worked pretty well I never really had an issue with it. Also it kind of breaks the immersion driving around and having to focus on the red circle rather than whats going on. Either way great job, I use this mod still every time I play. EDIT: How about a way to make the red circle invisible but still keep it active?

  3. Should be no problem running them. But if youre trying to get seriously get into PC gaming though you should really build a desktop. My first computer for pc gaming was a laptop. Problem is i could never upgrade it, it was really only fun to play when i was home in a comfortable position at a desk [people are to distracting to play] plus you can probably get more power out of it for the cost than a laptop. Youre also restricted to stuff like the 19" monitor, keyboard, etc. You could always plug these in to the hdmi and usb, but then you basically have an overpriced desktop at that point :) good luck!
  4. until they back into your cruiser and you get run over by like 6 cars a few seconds later.. jk i love that part :)
  5. I actually loved that about traffic stops, I always worked in a bit of RP in lcpdfr especially during traffic stops. The only real useless dialog was choosing the reasoning for pulling someone over, but it still added that bit of extra immersion. These dialog sequences made the traffic stops IMO, you always had to approach them with caution as you never knew if the suspect was going to take off fleeing or pull out a weapon and blast you while you ask them for ID or to step out of the vehicle. I always played these mods as 'simulators' and I enjoyed the moments where I could just drive my cruiser around a 3am, feeling like a cop wannabe pulling over those broken headlight beaters. I like that shootouts and crazy pursuits exist, however it kind of kills the experience when that's all there ever is to do. It adds more variety when you can finish up a crazy pursuit, and go into a different mode/state of mind for a bit just sitting along the road or cruising where either you'd end up pulling over a law abiding citizen or some crazy lunatic with a weapon ready to rock. Anyway, you guys had a large variety of that in lcpdfr which made it so great in the police simulation sense. Anyway keep up the good work guys, this is just my useless 2 cents. EDIT: After reading your most recent response, I have a more clear view as to why these things aren't in/aren't able to be done
  6. Hate to say it bro, i dont feel the least bit bad for you because of that. If you dont have $60 to buy this game and can come here every day, you need to set your real life priorities better..
  7. I forgot to mention, im using an unmodded copy of gta v
  8. Hey everyone, bought my copy of gta v off greenmangaming when it came out, had no issues playing it and i took a break from it for awhile. So last night i went to get ready and get all the latest updates and launch the game.. Except the game now doesnt launch. The grand theft auto v splash screen shows up for a second, then disappears.. No message or anything. It shows up in my processes (i think yhe GTAlauncher) then disappears shortly after. Ive tried disabling malwarebytes, MSE, restarting computer. As far as i know i havent installed any sort of recording programs like fraps or anything since. (however this was already on my computer and didnt causr any issues before) anyone got any suggestions? Thanks for reading
  9. This has got to be the worst post in here. All I see are 'ifs' and would bes. "And finally fourth you don't know what obama care about. the only person that knows for sure is him" Is that a joke? Do you know what you're saying right now? So its ok for Obama to overhaul healthcare if we don't know what its about? Guess what? Now you get to pay for an illegal aliens hospital visit. also about Romney, stop making stuff up. I live in mass and he was governor here till 2007 and did a great job in fact. it even going to respond to the end of your post
  10. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ExQcrf80OSI On a more serious note, whether or not he was a traitor there are still procedures.. You can't just do shit like that, we pretty much torture these 5 top taliban officials for years and release them back to the middle east knowing they will kill or lead again.. I personally can't wait until he's out of office, he's done more harm than good.
  11. Thanks, like the other guy said It's just a matter of tweaking the values. I'll put out an update later today after fixing a few more things. I agree the pistol can be pretty inaccurate especially holding down the trigger. Thanks for your suggestions. Also, you can just copy and paste the values for shotguns in your slug mod into this .xml and make it compatible. Either way thanks for your suggestion
  12. If yall are interested, I uploaded the first version for this. It may not be approved at the time of this posting so check back! And please let me know what you think or don't like! Thanks '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

    • Version v2
This simple file edit increases damage and decreases the accuracy of weapons. Making it take fewer shots to take someone out, and giving guns a heavier recoil (For example, a pistol shot can take 2-3 body shots on average) +decreases accuracy on most ranged weapons (except snipers) for a more realistic spread leading to more intense and longer shootouts. +smaller crosshair (gives you a perspective of where you're shooting without being blatantly obvious) +weapon damage increased, no more pedestrians getting up over and over after getting shot! +makes weapons less accurate when holding down LMB(shoot) Small bursts are more accurate! +weapon ranges slightly increased on shotguns and other weapons +deagle, shotguns, and rifles exert slightly more force when making contact Other slight changes V2 +Removed health circle around aiming reticle when aiming at enemies. No more hints that you are hovering right over an enemy! Please leave feedback :) I don't consider myself a modder but I have the utmost respect to those who can script, model, texture, etc. This is simply something I edited in my game to get a more realistic LCPDFR. (I must say shootouts and gunplay has brought a new light in this aspect, considering GTA weapons are dead accurate by default) Future plans Leave Suggestions! INSTALLATION - Drop both files in your common/data folder. Make backups NOTE: If you want to keep the health reticle when aiming at enemies, just don't install the hud file. *Back up your weaponinfo.xml and hud.dat*
  13. Cool. Some examples of the accuracy changes Glock Aim when shooting rapid (holding down trigger/LMB) Glock aim giving 1-2 seconds between shots Deagle Aim while holding down LMB
  14. I edited a weaponinfo.xml for my own personal lcpdfr (still tweaking a bit) and was wondering if anyone would want it? I feel like it would mostly benefit people like me who use free-aim who always wish their gunfights were a little more intense/longer. I am aware there is a mod like Realistic Ballistic Damage etc. but I find this to go beyond just weapon damage. So far what I did: Pistol reticle is now just that little white dot (no circle around it) Pistol aim is a lot less accurate. (No more insta-headshots on suspects most of the time) Pistol damage increased, it can now take anywhere from like 1-4 shots to kill someone. (generally 2-3 puts someone down though) Removed circle health display when aimer is hovering over a suspect or pedestrian (still working on this) This is all I have so far for my personal game, as it increases the realism (and the fact that I mostly use the pistol) If people are interested I'd continue with things like SMG and shotgun bullet spread is a little more noticeable, shotgun range increased but spread is greater, etc. I'm aware this isn't a hard thing for someone to put together as it requires no coding, etc. but it can be time consuming trying to get things to a nice balance. Anyway let me know what you think. Thanks
  15. Nice man, I can't wait to use these tonight. I'll report back with any bugs and stuff :)
