  1. stop trying to be different and make it a god damn plain background like everyone else
  2. Probably not quite something like that, although I myself am planning a "little" vicpol pack, which is one of the reasons why I'm not releasing every one of my models as soon as they get finished. I'm still tossing up weather or not uniforms will be included in this too, as i'd either have to make them myself or get someone else to.
  3. you'll probably have to manually select the polygons and then detach them
  4. Well whattaya know, that's the one
  5. Ahh yeah I was going to get kyben to do a vicpol livery for that. I mucked around with it in zmodeler but I was only fixing the collisions for my own use, the main body collision is lower than the skids so when it's on the ground it looks odd
  6. That'd be a nice variation to all the modern cars. Some bits of advice I can give you to start off is muck around with zmod a lot. Don't give up too soon or you would've just wasted your money. And if you ever get up to scratch modelling something (eg. Lightbar or a piece of gear) use a different program for the modelling bit, and then import it to zmodeler for the texturing and converting into the game format. The modelling tools in zmodeler are useless. I suggest using either blender or 3ds max. 3ds Max costs money but is a bit better than blender which is free. That being said I've used blender for years and still haven't found any problems with it
  7. What model you got? I don't think there's any good tutorials, but I haven't had a real good look. I learnt the hard way by lots of trial and error
  8. I am deeply and personally offended by this
  9. incase anybody cares what my current project is edit: oh god please remove australian police gaming from the links on the first post. they're the ones who stole that other paddy wagon and I kid you not they're also the reason why I'm not releasing every model as I finish it
  10. you could try setting it to 1. I'm not sure what it will do
  11. Yeah I don't always see nsw and vicpol responding in each other states here so much, but I know they do back each other up when they need. They do go across the border for food while on patrol too, I saw that happen the other week
  12. And I also have a marked Camry on the drawing board somewhere, but it's vicpol and everyone seems to have a "f*ck Victoria" attitude
  13. Depends on the state's and the areas of the state's too. I was up at the Sunshine Coast for New Years and I saw about 15 VE's and only one VF. But down in Melbourne most are VF's, I've seen a few VFII's and there's still a few VE's hanging around here and there. And then up where I live my local cop shop got 3 VFII's (for GD) around February this year.
  14. VE's are old gen, so if ACT had VE SS's I'd bet my left nut they have VF SS's now
  15. VFII, you're missing out. You mean one like this? but an SS variation not evoke https://gyazo.com/305a57ea7b0e101374bad432bf48f5dc Falcon on the way, ford territory on the way, evoke on the way, SS(s) on the way
  16. That car's actually amazing. Me and blueheelers were wondering, where'd you get that bumper from? Did you make it yourself or get humster or somebody to make it
  17. Yep that's the one we're planning on getting, but it'll be a while down the track. Territory, evoke's, divvy van and probably some scania firetrucks will come first
  18. Nah that's a high roof, we use low roof sprinters
  19. Myself and Bronyrapper had loose plans to buy a sprinter together and do our respective states
  20. You doing that old ve ute or something skilful? I'll chuck pics of my stuff in a few days
  21. Hell yeah this would be awesome if this thread took off. We're 887 pages behind the last one so we've got a lot of catching up to do
  22. You can always just do it yourself, instead of using mods. Find visualsettings.dat and look for car.defaultlight.day.emissive.on and car.defaultlight.night.emissive.on. I can't remember exactly what the numbers next to them are by default but all you need to do is make the value higher, for example mine are car.defaultlight.day.emissive.on 1000.50 car.defaultlight.night.emissive.on 600.50 Then simply save the file, and re-import it into openiv and voila! Muck around with the values until you get something you're happy with. Oh and I should probably also mention that your post-fx setting should be set to ultra for it to have the best effect, if it's disabled they won't flash bright at all
  23. When I was doing the handling I found that too but I actually decided to leave it in there because the real paddy wagons have a tendency to roll over too. And at the moment there's no good way to make the messageboard work, but hopefully ELS V will support it if/when it comes out
