    I my self would just take it out of the steam folder and put it in a new folder but thats just me.

    I bet money your on a 32 bit Windows 7... It Steals RAM for whatever reason. A fix to this is to get 64 bit, or more RAM. EDIT: Also if i keeps crashing when loading appears the try removing the save file.

    Yes you must pay for it.... and laptops are more expesive and trickier than desktops. Computer stores Upgrading is quite simple
