Halloween Easter Egg?
Very cool! Never noticed this before in all the years of playing.

Halloween Easter Egg?
I may just be really behind and never noticed this, but is there an Easter Egg in LSPDFR on holidays? I was playing on Halloween and called for the Coroner. They showed up driving a Hearse and the peds were zombie peds. I didn't install any mods for the coroner or peds and was really baffled when this happened.

LSPDFR 0.4 - Ambience
I've had no issues with FPS. It could just be your system and/or the amount of mods and types of mods you are running. Or it could just be your system in general.

PSA GTA V Updated Today 10/16/18
I had backed up RPH and says I'm using that version but every time I try to start the game it goes back into downloading the patch. I've followed the instructions to not update but it continues to do so. I have the retail version and have become so confused by what to do, I guess the best option is to wait until Scripthook is updated. So ridiculous.

Vehicle Search Plugin Crash
I'm having the same problem. Crashes every time it goes to load vehicle search.

Any FS pilots on here?
I have it, used to play a lot but haven't loaded it in quite awhile. I used to love getting online and playing hops on servers, especially the shorter hops...Didn't see the point in hour + long hop lists.

Bring back the Crown Victoria!
As far as "tone" goes, how about you check yours, buddy. I'm sure you'll have a difficult time following along, so I'll try and keep it as simple as possible for you. There's no need to call me a "wanna-be" because the simple reason why I would take a Charger over a Ford PI is because I would take it for the patrol use. I am a police officer, so if I want to throw my 2 cents in about what makes a better patrol vehicle, I think I'm much more qualified than you. I'm fully aware why the majority of people buy used police vehicles. They're cheap, well maintained, and durable. Cab companies also like them because they have a lot of space as well as the prior reasons mentioned. Then you have some waco's such as yourself who just like to show off. If you look more closely at my first post, you'll see that I said lights are legal so long as you don't actually turn them on. Why, may I ask, do you have lights in yours? Just in case you happen to "roll" up on something and be of some assistance? If so, don't bother. Be like the majority of people and just call 911 and let us handle it. We don't need your help. Is it so you can flash your lights at people to scare them? Is that something you enjoy? Gotta get your rocks off somehow, right? Either way, there's really no good justification for putting lights on a civilian road-used vehicle. All it does is make you look like an idiot. Do yourself a favor and take them off. You are correct that wanna-be's also have anntenae, scanners, etc...But the most visible thing are the lights. If you have an old police car that's made to look like a police car, it doesn't matter what combination you have in it, you're still a douche. Maybe you're having a rough time being called a wanna-be and it's getting irritated because it's true? Now, did you get all of my "tone" in this one? Now, back on topic....The new Ford has an option of getting the Ecoboost in it. It is more expensive though and more costly to repair, so many places are just opting for the regular V6. Despite what some people are saying, there IS a noticable delay when you punch the gas. However, you get used to it and it doesn't take long for the car (even without the boost) to kick up to speed. The handling in them is outstanding. The downsides is that the vehicle is not very comfortable and space in the main cabin is extremely tight. Getting in and out of the door is awful as the door frame was made way too narrow. I'm not sure if they've fixed that in the new models. Many are opting for the SUV's. They have a ton of space and they're not overly uncomfortable. The handling is just as good and they're just as fast. They're a little more expensive than the sedans though, so that is a draw back. Dodge is really setting themselves up nicely with the new models, as they will also have an AWD option. They're fast, they handle well, they have plenty of room, and the just look awesome. The new models are much better improved also. In my opinion, the Charger is what resembles the old Crown Vic the closest as far as an operatable patrol vehicle. Not everyone has that opinion though and that's fine. However, if you're just some jackass spouting off about the functionality of a patrol vehicle when you have no idea what you're talking about, please do everyone a favor and shut up.

Bring back the Crown Victoria!
Ya, and those people are called wanna-be's. You can have functioning lights/sirens on it, but you better hope you don't get caught using them. The Crown Vic that we all know will never return. I'm sure Ford will bring in a design in 10-15 years and name it that, but it will not be the same car, just like the Caprice. Hell, I loved the old Caprice, but that doesn't mean I want to see that design brought back. It just doesn't work in today's market. While the Crown Vic is very roomy, it handles like utter crap. Your life is in the balance in any inclement weather no matter if it's rain, ice, or snow. At speeds over 100mph you feel like you're floating, which is not a good thing. The new PI by Ford is way too small inside. I find it funny that a car "totally designed for police functioning" is really anything but. The Charger is the only vehicle that really compares to the CVPI, while maintaining modern features. It's got plenty of room, plenty of power, and is rear-wheel drive. Although the 2014 models will have AWD as an option which is great. Give me a Charger any day. I can't say much about the Caprice because I've not seen it. But if I had to choose a car, I'll take the Charger.

Probably just had the most stable playing experience
It isn't in the ini, you have to manually put it there. PreloadAllModels = True Just add that in your ini and save under Main. Put it under the line where it asks if you're using the PD texture mod.

Probably just had the most stable playing experience
I was having issues with getting the "Disregard" messages quite a bit. Someone suggested I try the preload all models in the .ini so I did. It seems to run a lot better now and I don't get disregarded nearly as much now. I still don't have much luck getting the Mugging calls though. Just played for close to an hour and didn't have any crashes from lcpdfr or policehelper. I was really shocked. It was running quite stable and I was getting world events from the policehelper without it crashing. That's the only time I can think of that I was able to play more than 10 minutes without one of them getting an error. Ended up getting into a pursuit with a motorcycle. The dude was flying and I had trouble keeping up with him. Called in air support and he basically kept toying with all the units...He'd go on side streets, go in a couple of circles. It got to the point where he'd go on side streets and seemed to slow up enough to where I was right on him, he was even slowing up at the red lights. All the sudden he turns on a good straight-away and just opens it up. It really seemed like he was messing with the units. I got tired of his antics even though it was a really fun chase and called for a roadblock. He tries to go toward the freeway but they set up the roadblock at the entrance to it...He ended up smacking the roadblock and flew off his bike to end the chase. I didn't see him hit it though, I just pulled up on it and he was on the ground. I wish I would've seen him hit it. Overall, without a doubt, my best experience yet with 1.0a. I'm really looking foward to their next fix for it so it's quite a bit more stable and hopefully we get some extra calls. Seems like there isn't much variety in the calls.

LCPDFR 1.0 with hotfix crashes when persuit
Unless you have other texture mods which could be causing the crash also. Are you running a totally clean version of GTA, or do you have other mods installed? Try totally uninstalling everything and start over and see how that does.

1.0a - "Disregard"
Using the latest mod with the latest patch, a new call will be dispatched, but when I accept it, I get an unusually high amount of "Disregard" messages. I did some searching in the forums and found this happened in older versions of the mod and mostly when there was low RAM. Is anyone else having the same issue with 1.0a? I didn't have this problem on .95, so I'm not sure why I'm having it now.
-
CRASH
vpCallouts crashes because it is not compatible with 1.0a, as it was made to work with .95. Either reloadscripts or deal with it crashing. Until someone updates vpcallouts or policehelper mods, these crashes will continue.

LCPDFR 1.0 with hotfix crashes when persuit
It's the skin. I had the same issue with the script constantly crashing, most notably in pursuits or on shots fired calls when I showed up. I had modded police cars installed. I just went back to the default models a couple days ago and it's not crashed since.

Policehelper and 1.0 lcpdfr
Disabling the world events definitely helps. I did that and I saw a great improvement over how it runs. I also use it mostly for repairing my car and calling for a town truck. Usually the towservice will crash, or there will be some other script for policehelper that crashes, like drunk drivers or lighttick - which I have no idea what the lighttick is - but it doesn't crash the entire policehelper script, so I can still use the mechanic. If I want it to work again, I just reloadscripts and it works again. There are some things that just won't work right until they are updated to be compatible with 1.0a. Hopefully policehelper script is, but I guess the creator's been having some issues. One thing I really miss is the bait car out of policehelper. That pretty much crashes every time I try to use it.

LCPDFR 1.0a Hotfix
1.0a is much more stable now. I'm able to actually get the game to work and I haven't had any crashes. I occasionally will get some texture loss and I'll restart the game, but none of it has crashed. I do run into quite a bit with a call getting dispatched and I go to respond, only to have it disregard. I find that happening a lot. I even put the police helper back in to use it and it's been pretty stable with that too. Only issue I have is that the police helper script will sometimes get an error with it, but I just reload scripts and it works. Overall, good job and I'm enjoying it!

LCPDFR 1.0a Hotfix
Is the issue with the taser fixed in the hotfix also, or do we still have to manually install the taser and delete the AdvancedHookInit.asi?

Problem launching GTA IV with LCPDFR 1.0
Do you, or anyone else, think that having multiple other C++ releases installed could be causing a conflict? Just looking at my add/remove programs, I've noticed I have quite a few other version's on my machine. I have a few 2005 and 2008 one's installed. Do each of those get used by different programs, or is it like a game patch, where the lastest one contains all of the older versions? I also have more than one .Net framework programs installed.

Problem launching GTA IV with LCPDFR 1.0
I had the same issue you did with the game crashing at startup. I did the manual taser install and, just the same as you, the game finally loaded, but no controls would work to activate LCPDFR. I also found that I had some issue opening up and running other games and programs since trying to install this new mod. I'm not saying installing the mod was a direct result, but I am suspicious that installing some of the new Microsoft C++ redist, had something to do with it. It resulted in me having to do a system recovery and reverting back to before I installed the mod and attempted to run it. All my programs are working now thankfully....And I've come to the conclusion that I'm going to stick with .95 until 1.0 can get some updates to it and be quite a bit more stable. I'm thankful for all the work you guys have put into a free mod and you're releasing it for everyone to use, but I don't understand how all these issues weren't found out with all the immense testing you guys did and how much time you had to try and sort them all out. I realise that everyone has a different system and that can be a pain in the ass trying to get all the possible crashes and such, but it seems that many people are all having the same problem with the game. Were you guys aware of these problems and just figured you would release it anyway and try and work up a patch once you found out how common some of these were, or did 1.0 actually seem like a stable, working program when you released it? I'm really not trying to sound like I'm bashing, because I'm not...I'm just curious as to where you thought the stability of the program was.

GTA crashes at Startup
Yes, the taser was the issue. I followed these instructions and it worked for me, hopefully it'll work for others having the same issue;

GTA crashes at Startup
I fixed the issue after looking around at some other posts of crashing. For anyone else having this problem; Do the manual installation of the taser. I'm able to load the game now. Now I'm just trying to figure out how to turn on the mod because Alt-P does nothing. I'll check around some more as far as troubleshooting that before asking for help on it. At least I'm able to start the game now though, so I should be able to figure out the rest. Thanks everyone for all your help on this!

Checked. I only have xlive there.

GTA crashes at Startup
Following the GFWL update, it still crashes right after the Social Club login.

GTA crashes at Startup
Ya, I had no issues running the last version of LCPDFR before. This is the first issue I've had with it. Not sure why it's immediately crashing at startup. I had installed all of the required C++ programs. The only one I didn't have was the GFWL 3.5 update which I'm installing now. The only thing I can guess as a possible issue is the C++ update for the x64 version, but again, I don't have the x64 version of Windows, so I can't install it. I installed the x86 version of the C++ 2012 update, so that should be fine, correct?

GTA crashes at Startup
I just got back in here to add that yes, I am running the game as administrator. Yes, it is a legal copy of the game. I did an uninstall and a fresh install of the game, I am running no other mods. I'm using Windows Vista.
