DOJ won't bring charges against officers in Gray case
I have no issue respecting law enforcement. I've never had an issue respecting our officers, and probably never will. It's always been easy for me to respect them, because most officers are good people that do their jobs well. I dunno. I wasn't there and I don't have enough evidence to make a reasonable conclusion. Baltimore PD is known for mistreatment, and I've experienced it myself the times I've been there. I don't think any regular civilian would have reason to transport a handcuffed individual locked in the back of a van, so yes, they'd be immediately locked up. I mean officers have families too. What are they supposed to do? Just not brig in any money? What about the children? What if the wife doesn't/can't work and depends solely on the husband that's an officer? What if they're already uncomfortable financially and now the officer is not getting paid because of an angry and ignorant public? Yeah, no. Paid leave was necessary. Suspend them, but they still need to get paid. You can't just not make any money, that's not how American society works.

DOJ won't bring charges against officers in Gray case
I don't see why this is so difficult. Officer's are responsible for the safety of the suspect while the suspect is in their custody. If the suspect is injured or killed, and it isn't self-inflicted, they should be liable to some extent. They apparently violated transportation policy (assuming what @Hastings said is accurate and correct), so they're at fault.

An orchestra walks atop the hill, sets up, and begins to play the Battlefield 1 soundtrack. This gives off the implication that the hill is now theirs. The orchestra's hill.

CSI wonder how it could be your hill when they conducted the investigation. CSI place you under arrest for obstruction of justice and claim the hill themselves. Law enforcement fund flattening of the hill and construct a new police station to support surrounding communities. Police station replaces the hill.

Really? The vehicles are gorgeous but I just can't stand the lights. Some of them trigger, some don't even light up, and some just stay solid the entire time...

Damn man, pretty unfortunate thing to happen. This is why police should take the hand away when putting suspects in a vehicle.

POLICE 10-13..Thoughts & Questions
I'm honestly more interested in the poop sitting in my toilet than this heap of junk. I'm counting down towards the day that I don't clog the toilet, and that's more likely to happen than this project. If you want to start your own creation then that's perfectly fine, but don't bash the hard work and effort that others have put into developing their own content. I think that they're just upset at the fact that LSPDFR is far more superior in its current state than this "game" will ever be. Four years later and still ain't shit done. What's really comical is the fact that they'll slam LSPDFR and the community, and then silence anyone that speaks out against it. That actually made me laugh out loud a little bit at what they did to @willpv23 , what a joke.

The US sells the hill to Canada for disputed territory along the border. Canada's hill.

Texas police chief asked to leave doctor's office for carrying gun
At this point, it's not a discussion of facts, but more so an argument of opinions. We can literally go all day like this and we won't ever agree because it's simply a matter of opinion. I'm willing to agree to disagree, simply.

Texas police chief asked to leave doctor's office for carrying gun
Again, that is false. Officers are always on duty even when not in uniform. The same way military are representing their respective branch and the armed forces when in civilian clothes, law enforcement are (expected) to be ready to assist when off duty as well. I'm not pulling that out of my ass, that's what I've been told by officers, otherwise I wouldn't be saying it. That's why they're allowed to carry their weapons off duty and their restrictions aren't as strict as regular citizens. Hate to break it to you, but a doctors office can be shot up or bombed just as any other venue. Sure the owner has the right to know who and what comes into their property, but it wouldn't be very wise to ask the police to leave just because a few insecure patients feel nervous. Welcome to the real world and welcome to the US. We have guns and so do our police, time to accept that or move to Canada. Even if it's anyone, boo-hoo. If the business hasn't asked them to leave, they have every right to carry their weapon whether you're comfortable or not. You being comfortable is irrelevant. I will carry whether you feel safe or not because I'm carrying for myself and my family. And if it comes down to it, for you too whether you like it or not.

That is false, and I don't know a single police officer that would agree with that. Officers are always on-duty, even when out of uniform. That's why police officers are excluded from a lot of different gun laws across the country as compared to your regular citizen. Even when they're off duty, they may still need theirfirearm, hence the whole concealed and open carry thing. Ummm... it's completely normal to see firearms in the US. If you like I can bring back some statistics on the percentages of Americans that agree that they're needed. I can also pull up some numbers of gun free zones in the US. Everyone always seems to disappear when the numbers come out.

So, law enforcement are allowed to carry their firearms into the workplace but you prohibit them from doing so?

I guess it's at the discretion of the business owner. Their loss, I personally wouldn't have any issue with an armed officer in my business place.

Two police officers injured after terrorist activity
I doubt it man. I'm sure he'd be down after the first hit, especially if some vital artery is pierced. No one here is suggesting that guns will completely solve the problem. We're saying that a gun in certain situations can definitely create a safer and better outcome for the officer and any bystanders. The suspect isn't who we're worried about. Kind of like Trump said: When police officers put the suspect in a vehicle and they put their hand on the suspects head? Remove the hand.

Well, a gun will always be 100% effective in the literal sense. It won't phase him, but it will kill him. It may not always be the best choice, but it will always eliminate the threat at the very least.

I guess that'd be a matter of opinion then because I disagree. If you pose a threat to the public or the officer, you'll have a weapon pointed directly at you. Or there actually isn't anything happening in Afghanistan. My unit is being deployed to Afghanistan. The Taliban are at an all time low. Insider threats and IED's are the biggest danger to us right now. Have you ever been to Afghanistan and faced the Taliban? I can tell you that the armed threat of the Taliban versus the armed threat of some street thug isn't comparable. I encourage you to walk on to your nearest military installation and tell soldiers that have deployed that the situations are comparable. I'd say it depends on the department and the circumstances behind the situation. Not all departments in the US are equipped with tasers, so what other tool do they have? You expect the police to use pepper spray and maybe a nightstick or baton against a knife? That's playing a dangerous game, not a game I'd play as an officer. Maybe if we arm the officer with a knife It'd be even? :)

Well, when you have situations like this happening every day, you kinda do have to resort to pulling out your gun. These officers saved lives this day and no one was hurt but the perp because he decided to start shooting at random. Imagine if these officers all had tasers in their hands. An officer would have probably been shot before they were able to take him down. A growing majority of Americans approve of law enforcements current performance, and I can give you citations for that if you like. You and the others here share a very minority view in the US, and nothing will be changed because nothing needs to be changed and most Americans see that. There are problems with law enforcement, but pulling their guns on potentially violent individuals that cause high-speed chases isn't one of them. I will be sure to wear my Blue Lives Matter bracelet with extra pride today. Or maybe this one? That ex-US soldier is a moron because law enforcement shouldn't necessarily be following the same procedures for dealing with weapons as we do in the armed forces. Statistically speaking, more police officers were killed in 2016 than US soldiers in Afghanistan AND Iraq. Police officers face the greater threat of being shot at and targeted than we do, granted they don't plant IED's in Chicago and Detroit. We lost about 140 officers in 2016. That's pretty much one 1 officer killed a week. That should speak for itself. There's a higher chance of danger as an officer here in the US than as a soldier over in ISIS and Taliban land. You can't necessarily apply the same fundamentals to police officers as you do American soldiers because they're put under completely different circumstances. If you want citations, I can provide them. I encourage you to visit your nearest military installation and ask around about our current RoE. Our rules of engagement are completely ridiculous, and they've caused countless deaths. At one point, our guys couldn't even engage targets even if they were shot at first until they received approval from higher command. The public really doesn't know about our RoE. These websites and regulations out here on the internet are outdated. Or, "Hey, I'm not an idiot and I won't break the law, to begin with. And If I am an idiot and do decide to break the law, I'm not gonna run. And if I do run and get caught, I'm not going to put the police into a position to where they feel that they have to use their tools on me. And if they do use their tools on me, it's my fault because I'm an idiot."

That's not what a black market is, friend. The item has to be illegal, otherwise it's not being black marketed it's just being sold.
