Taking Model and Skinning Requests !
I would love a Ford Interceptor (Utility and Sedan if possible) with a West Hartford Police skin, as seen here: http://social.ford.com/assets/5498/?w=519&h=295 That would be awesome.

Do You Use 1.0 or 0.95?
I use version 1.0b, the latest. To the people that use 0.95: have you tried version 1.1 since 1.0? It's gotten much more stable and performance has increased. Also, they reworked the installer in patch 1.0b.

Want a car made?
I know you already have a lot of requests, but maybe someone else can jump in to do this one. 2013 Ford Taurus Police Interceptor: http://www.policecarwebsite.net/pdcar4/cars/whart104.jpg http://www.policecarwebsite.net/pdcar4/cars/whart103.jpg http://www.policecarwebsite.net/pdcar4/cars/whart101.jpg

How can I get more FPS?
I think I will upgrade my PSU a little later down the road, but I guess I am pretty happy with my performance so far. Again, can anyone give any advice on power supplies? I might also upgrade a lot later to do Crossfire with 2 R9 270X's, or a different card, so I would probably 700-750W.

How can I get more FPS?
I just searched Google to find a power supply calculator, and after trying a few of the links on the first page, apparently I have enough power. However, maybe in a little while I will buy a higher wattage PSU. Probably 700 or 750 because I might want to do Crossfire in the future. I have a Corsair CX 500W right now. Can anyone give advice if I should stick with that line, or go with another Corsair line, such as one that is more efficient? Is that worth it? I have heard that Corsair is pretty reliable, so I think I would want to stick with that. I will check to make sure my card is plugged in properly, but wouldn't the card just not work if, say, one of the six-pin connectors wasn't plugged in? My card takes two six-pin connectors. As you can see above, I am using a commandline. I am talking about getting more FPS when maxing out GTA's settings (except detail and view distance). Please, anyone, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think my card is powerful enough to run GTAIV at high settings with more FPS than I am getting now. I would like to investigate other reasons, like not having enough wattage, before reducing the settings or using a mod to help lag.

How can I get more FPS?
So does that mean that my system isn't performing at its full potential because it doesn't have enough power? Do I need to buy a new power supply and rewire everything?

How can I get more FPS?
Could you post a link or a screenshot of the calculator you used? The ones that I found were under 500w.

How can I get more FPS?
I just installed the game again, and the results are about the same, but the FPS stays in the high 30s to mid 40s most of the time, but that's without LCPDFR, ELS, the trainer, and any car mods.

How can I get more FPS?
Well when I set it to high instead of normal, I did get a few more FPS. But is that not worth it, as it could wreck my machine? I will load my vanilla backup back in.

How can I get more FPS?
So then should I set it to "high"? Yes, the game is 1.0.7.0, a legal version, and I am running it as administrator.

How can I get more FPS?
Hello everyone, I recently built a new gaming PC, and have been playing GTA on it for a while now. However, I feel that I should be getting more performance. What can I do? Is my processor bottlenecking my PC? I haven't tried overclocking yet; I don't really know how to. I usually get high 20s- low 40s for FPS without any ENBs. I did try both iCEnhancer and Game4Video, but they both pushed my FPS into the high teens at the lowest, and mid 20s at the highest. I do have 4 modded police cars, three of them high-poly. I use Large Address Aware, I have set GTA's priority to Realtime in Task Manager, and my commandline is this: -norestrictions -percentvidmem 100 -frameLimit 0 -nomemrestrict -noprecache PC Specs: AMD FX-4350 Quad-Core @4.20 GHz with stock cooler Gigabyte Radeon R9 270X with 2GB GDDR5 8 GB DDR3 RAM @1600 MHz 500W Power Supply What else can I do to get more FPS? Thanks for any help.

Okay thanks!

New Gaming Pc
Yeah, actually, now that you mention it, I have a question about processors in general: Is there anything that affects a processor's performance other than the number of cores and the clock speed?

Okay, thank you so much for your help.

What about these: CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113326 Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130637 This brings the total to $984.86 with shipping on Newegg.

Okay, I have re-read the reviews on the CPU, and most of the newer ones say that it's shit. So, I have decided to scratch the processor and motherboard from the build. I am looking for suggestions. I don't want to spend too much more than I already am on the processor and motherboard, and I'm pretty sure I want to keep my graphics card in the list. Also, is there anything else that constitutes a good CPU, other than clock speed, number of cores, and socket?
-
New Gaming Pc
I'm still confused as to why the CPU is shit. It's four cores and 3.4 Ghz. Do I really need a six-core?
-
New Gaming Pc
Why is the CPU horrible, other than it's outdated? I don't want to change my whole parts list now. I feel like I'm pretty set on everything except for the processor, motherboard, and graphics card. Plus, your numbers are really wrong. Look at the list on pcpartspicker, and the prices don't match up with what you said.

New Gaming Pc
Hi all, I am looking to build my own computer for gaming, specifically GTAIV and driving games, as I have a G27 Wheel. I'm not really into first-person shooters. I have decided on a parts list from Newegg (unfortunately Amazon now charges sales tax in CT,) but I wanted to ask for some advice on here. These are my parts: Gigabyte AMD R9 270X 2GB GDDR5: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125476 Cosair Vengeance 8GB Memory: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233144 AMD Athlon X4 Quad Core 3.4 Ghz: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113328 Corsair 500W Modular PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139050 MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130662 Western Digital Caviar Black 7200RPM HDD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136533 I would like some thoughts on how well this will run GTAIV on a 1080p monitor. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. One question in particular: if I wanted to upgrade my CPU later down the road, would I also have to replace the motherboard because of the FM2 socket? The grand total on Newegg with the case, monitor, wireless card, dvd drive, and speakers is $940. If it would help, I could also post links of those also.
