  1. Got some sweet customisation in this mod, been wondering if we could set a spawn location for certain backup. It seems a bit unrealistic that police cars can appear behind you like slenderman the instant you call for one. So you could have it so that local patrols have a chance of spawning near you (as they would be on patrol) or spawning at a custom location (such as a police station). Basically like in BetterEMS mod. It might also help fix that annoying bug of police spawning in on narrow roads facing the wrong direction and having to do a 23 point turn to get to you. Could we also get some functionality to helicopters? Currently if you try and spawn one in outside a pursuit, it will either spawn at high altitude and hover in place and do nothing or it will spawn low and then swing around erratically around the bad guys as the police on the side try and shoot at them. If it gets too low, everyone except the pilot will get out and then the pilot will continue to swing around. Helicopters also won't use any onboard weapons when spawned in outside a pursuit. Would be nice to have some control of their tactics such as: - Hover and shoot from the air. - Hover and rapel passengers down. - Land nearby and let passengers out. Like the police do in the actual game. Thanks for the great mod.
  2. Damn. Guess i'll be using the default backup menu for local swat then. :P Been meaning to ask, are you considering putting more customization options into this mod? It would be nice to specify a spawn for backup (like in better ems). Also, can air support have another use outside of pursuits. Just some thoughts.
  3. Hey, how do i get the cops and sheriff to equip the bullet proof vests? I've tried comp_accessories="3" but to no avail. Basically how do i change "Accessory2"? (as simple native trainer words it) And how do I change the texture of "Accessory2"? Many thanks.
  4. You sure that "KNIGHTSTCIK" is spelt right? Also, you might want to change the weapon setting from 'random' to 'best' in the custombackup.ini
  5. Hey @PNWParksFan, Been trying to fine tune my backup selections and had an idea. Do you think we could set a spawn area for certain backup? So when you call for backup, you could make it so that it would be dispatched from the nearest police station or something.... like in better ems! It would also be cool if we could specify backup behavior such as 'drive slowly' (for mountain roads), stop and use your weapon (for tanks and apcs). Lastly do you think we could have some functional air support outside of pursuits, they don't appear to work properly. They could turn up, float around, then fly off when the dismiss time is past or when there's no bad guys to shoot. Keep up the good work.

  7. hey @PNWParksFan Im working on customising the spawn locations of the ambulances, so far its going well but I had a question. Is there a way to specify a spawn point as 'spawn only' and 'return only'? Im setting up in LSIA and I want the ambulances to spawn at the airport fire department and then take the injured to the nearest hospital (which would be davis hospital) The best i can do is set the airport 'hospital' to have 2 spawns, one at the airport and one at davis hospital set as delivery but then the ambulance will spawn at davis hospital 50% of the time. Regardless of that this is a pretty nifty mod. keep up the good work!
  8. Hey @Albo1125 , i love the mod. Being able to actually clean up after a messy shootout or pursuit is amazing. I had a couple of suggestions: 1. Tow trucks can't tow everything. While the tow trucks are useful for most situations, they can't deal with big vehicles very well. It also sometimes doesn't make sense to tow something that has been destroyed and has no wheels. My suggestion is that destroyed vehicles are put on the back of a flat bed truck and that the towing service might use a helicopter (skylift/cargobob) to remove larger vehicles that can't be towed. 2. FIRE TRUCKS PLEASE!!!! I've yet to come across a mod that lets you call for fire fighter backup to actually fight fires. The only way to call for fire fighters is to dial 911 on your phone and this seems a bit silly. Please let me know what you think and PLEASE keep being awesome!
  9. I absolutely love this mod, it adds some much more to the game. I have a question, could you make the fire fighters actually fight fire? I'm having trouble finding a dispatchable firetruck mod and was wondering if it would be easy to implement. Also, air ambulances... would be awesome! Keep up the good work bruh
  10. If you read the .ini file it says that if you put a special vehicle (e.g. police vehicles) they will only spawn when they are meant to. So in your case there will be more police patriots and fbi cars chasing you then there would normally be.
  11. Cool mod. I noticed a very cool glitch however, if you spawn in a car using the snt, drive for more then 20 seconds and then remove it somehow (I use the towtruck mod). That car will start being generated with the other 20. Combine this with the ability to make the city completely grid locked (disable then enable cars using snt) It is a nice feature. It also works with some eflc cars including the APC so driving one will result people starting to drive to work in a tank. However if you keep spawning in different cars then they will all start spawning with the other 20 and will drag your performance down until you spawn 1 car too many and the game will crash.
  12. Its the same with and without lcpdfr enabled. I've also just noticed another bug, any cop on foot will have their pistol drawn for no reason.
  13. I thinks its pretty cool. I had an idea about having the call outs be affected by the characture you play as. E.g. Police = Stolen cars, domestic disputes. NOoSE = Shoot outs, shot fired. FIB = Hostages, armed suspects fleeing. Also you could add stuff like a FIB convoy being attacked and you have to take out the attacking cars while protecting the fleeing FIB car or maybe a prisoner transport truck being attack and some convicts escaping. Still pretty good ideas you got though. :)
  14. Are there any 'improved helicopters'. A bit like the improved cruiser, it is basically the same as the default only it has more stuff, or it looks better or it has multiple skins. If someone could find or make one with some L.C helicopter skins E.g. the normal LCPD, a dark blue Alderney state trooper. Basically 4 skins of the main areas of LC. I also use the abraxe liveries with the ALM so it would be epic to have different helicopters. I would be very great full. (Also on a unrelated note, has anyone seen a bug when not using lcpdfr, if you get a wanted level, the police helicopter uses pistols or the occasionally the M4's (I use eflc, tbogt, so they should use the advanced machine gun) and if you shot the helicopter and the officers jump out and survive, then they pull out their machine guns. WTF)

  16. Im not sure if it has anything to do with lcpdfr but when I finally got it working with EFLC i noticed a few bugs. I usually only play TBoGT. I use a window 8 laptop with amd a6 quad-core. All these bugs started to appear after installing lcpdfr 1.0. 1) Even when playing without the mod turned on, if you get a 3 star wanted level or more, the police helicopter arrives and the guys on the sides shoot at you with pistols instead of the advanced machine gun. Meaning that usually the bullet doesn't reach the ground anyway. Even when 2 noose gun ships arrive, they both use only their pistols. I know it makes the game a lot easier but I prefer realism. 2) When I get a 3 or 4 star wanted level the noose cruisers and patriots start arriving. I don't know why but this seems to crash the game. On a 1, 2, 5 and 6 star wanted level, with no noose cruisers or patriots, everything works fine. The 2 cars on their own don't crash the game, but when they start to arrive with the police on a 3 - 4 star wanted level, the game will eventually crash for no reason. 3) Phone calls, no dialog. If I get a call, ill answer it then immediately put the phone down. If I call 911 it rings twice as normal then it just goes straight to the 1,2,3 option and then when I selected the one I want, I immediately hang up. If I call someone who isn't answering the phone, it just rings twice then I hang up. The problem is that the game doesn't use the phone speech lines. 4) Missions, possible the game's autosave is the problem but after doing one mission the phone's background glitched showing the beer background with pixel squares moving down the phone screen. Then the game crashes during the next mission (sexytimes) and I can't open the game again. I have had to deleted my saved game now. I don't know if these glitches are due to lcpdfr or something else but if anyone else have glitches like these please say.
  17. I got lcpdfr 0.95 on my laptop and desktop and they both worked perfectly but when I first noticed that lcpdfr 1.0 had come out I tried to install it immediately but it didn't work. I tried the automatic and manual, I followed the installation guide and I used the hotfix but it still wouldn't work. There was no error messages, nothing happened when I pressed p and my other mods didn't work. I did have the previous version of lcpdfr installed but I deleted all the relevant files I could find. I though it might be down to all of my mods installed so I tried rearranging, deleting and replacing the included files but nothing worked so I decided to delete everything completely reinstall the game. After doing so I tried again without anything else installed. I used the automatic launcher with the hotfix and xlive api launcher (which im not sure if I am meant to use) and same result as before. Nothing happens. I did notice however that replacing the modified scripthookdotnet with the normal hazard scripthookdotnet resulted in a popup saying that lcpdfr encountered a critical error and was closed but then if you use the one that come with lcpdfr, nothing happens at all and you cant even open the ingame console. I use windows 8 (x84) and that's basically all I know about my computer. Please help me cause im dying to try out lcpdfr 1.0. Please tell me if all the files are in order
  18. I was looking at the GTA 4 wiki and I noticed this. Notice how the officers are from the Alderney area and the helicopter has 'state police' and 'state trooper' written on the side with a different badge. The picture is at http://gta.wikia.com/Police_Maverick but there is no clue to where it came from. Please can someone find this helicopter. It is the default polmav with a different skin. Even better if the helicopter had multiple skins. :)
  19. I kind of meant that if there is a mugging somewhere the dispatcher would say where It was. e.g. " 'available units respond to' 'a mugging' 'in' 'Hove beach' " " 'attention all units we have' 'shots fired' 'in' 'Port Tudor' " etc.
  20. Have the dispatchers voice on all the callouts. I went through the police scanner folders and all the right speech is there. E.g. Arson, Domestic disturbance, shoot out, shots fired..... You could also have it for when you are pursuing a suspect as the dispatcher would be saying where he is, last seen, what direction and by car or on foot. (just like he would be if you were being chased)
  21. I installed abraxas multiple liveries for police cars mod and it suggested that I use this mod with it. I can install it ok but no matter what I do it only uses livery one. Is there a bug or have I missed something. Please help me?!?!?!?!
  22. The default key should be z. press ctrl + z for barrier press alt + z for light/flare press shift + z for cone Hope this helps :)
  23. Hey I love this mod so much. I have most of the addons installed but there are some problems that wont stop nagging me!!!!! Im using 1.2.1b 1. FDLC. If I request them using the pH then they arrive then pH crashes. 2. Fires. I don't even think you need the FDLC because every time I open the pH near a fire then the fire magically disappears. 3. Car arson. I don't know where to look but im desperate to catch a car arson. Problem is that even though I followed the news and hung around south bohan in between 1 and 4 there was no thing. Please tell me where I can find a car arson!!!!!!! 4. Mechanics being able to fix destroyed cars. But then not being able to get in it. 5. Key board. I know that the place barrier button is meant to be Z but for some reason the pH changes my keyboard into French mode. So instead of qwerty ive got azerty I think. so that means that every time I tried to sprint a cone would appear out of nowhere and block me. :( 6. this is just a minor one but there are areas that the tow trucks, fdlc, met and emts can't reach. E.g. the beach and pier. I hope some of these problems get solved/answered and I really love this mod. Keep up the good work.
