  1. I use non-els cars also. The wig-wag seems to work only when the headlights automatically turn on at night or when it rains.
  2. If I remember correctly, the LCPD configurator has a checkbox to enable it. I haven't activated it yet because I already have a strobes script, but I will temporarily move it to see how the wig-wags look. The new QAM looks nice. In fact, it reminds me of the action menu from SWAT 4. I haven't tried all the options yet but I'm looking forward to using them. I wasn't expecting a new version of LCPDFR to come out so soon but I'm pleasantly surprised. Aside from the automatic installation bug, nice work. Thanks Sam and the development team.
  3. I tried the reskin only option and it looks great. However, I can't get the sunglasses to appear for my player and partner models. They appear on AI cops only. I read a SNT can spawn them but is there another way to get the sunglasses? It's not a big deal but I'm just curious.
  4. Sadly my OpenIV doesnt replace Audio files in the Speech directory....
  5. Try this then, go to common, data, peds IDE file....not the DAT file..then look for the (m_m_fatcop_01 line or whatever you made it if you changed it) and the next row on that line is the prop value. If it says "null" that's why it's not working.
  6. I don't mind the male dispatcher in the game but this mod makes a nice addition to LCPDFR. The female voice kind of reminds me of Liara T'Soni from Mass Effect. lol
  7. Great mod. The female cops actually sound female now. :D Though I can't seem to get the hats and glasses to appear on them. I replaced the pedprop files using OpenIV. Did I missing something? :/
  8. Great work as always, Sam. Everything from the lightbar to the decals look great. Now I want to try your Stainer too. Lol
  9. A roadblock with spike strips sounds nice but it would require them to despawn after the suspect vehicle drives over them or you would be forced to drive around it. As for the spikes dropping from your police car, the BMW driven by James Bond in Tomorrow Never Dies already does that and I think that would be unrealistic for the LCPD to use that. lol
  10. When a prisoner transport is called, it randomly sends either the standard police cruisers and patrols or the police stockade.
  11. I noticed too. I kind of miss that feature. Not a major nitpick for me but I miss having it. It would be nice if there was the option to select the voices without a trainer. I always get the same two voices when I play as the fit cops.
  12. Nope, I don't have any ped mods installed. I tried that but I only noticed my AI partner putting away his gun. Maybe I haven't paid much attention to the other cops in the area. Yeah, I noticed that too. 0.95 didn't do that before going on duty and I occasionally see some cops with their gun still drawn after a scene is cleared and some putting theirs' away.
  13. I have the hotfix. Not a major issue for me but I was just wondering if anyone else has seen this. Good to know it's not just me.
  14. It seems that I keep seeing cops on foot patrol with their pistol in hand whether standing outside police stations or just strolling along casually. Am I the only one seeing this?
  15. Ah, I knew I forgot something. Here's my system specs: OS: Windows Vista™ Home Premium 64-bit (6.0, Build 6002) Service Pack 2, Processor: Intel® Core2 Duo CPU T9300 @ 2.50GHz Memory: 4094MB RAM Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT DirectX 10 I know laptops aren't ideal gaming platforms but that's what I have for now. Edit: I was able to play for about 2 hours last night without any crashes, though a lot of callouts were noted as "Disregard" Edit 2: After adding the commandline.txt the game seems to be running without crashing. Still stutters a bit but I figure it's because of my old hardware. Thanks ineseri.
  16. I'm not sure if it's the game or the LCPD 1.0a that is causing the crashes. While playing with the mod active, I am able to play about 10 to 20 minutes before the game crashes, whether I'm cruising around or taking call outs. I have a legit copy of GTA IV, installed the mod using the manual method. I know the mod isn't perfect but I enjoy playing it, however short the duration. I have the logs attached. I see the LCPDFR.log referencing to audio files not found minutes before the crash. Thanks for all the time and effort you guys put into this mod. :D
  17. Thanks for the fix. The mod works now. Now I just need to look at the user manual for the command keys. :P
  18. Thanks, LMS. Well, I managed to get into the game but there's a script loader error. I've seen a few threads here about this.
  19. Hello. I have been unable to launch GTA IV while LCPDFR 1.0 is installed. I have a purchased genuine copy of GTA IV and have all the required downloads from Microsoft to proceed with the mod installation. I first tried the automatic installer for the mod and followed the instructions and let it download the required prerequisites. There were no problems while installing the components and I click Finish when all installations were complete. When I try to run GTA IV, the program simply shuts down and it seems "Windows DEP" is preventing GTA IV from running. However, when I uninstall the mod, I am able to run the game. I then tried a clean install of GTA IV and used the mod manual install method but I encountered the same problem again. I have some logs attached. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
  20. Ah, so that's how it goes from kinky to full make-out. Putting a teaser for LCPD:FR in a GTA V thread huh? lol
  21. This is the first vehicle mod I downloaded and I have to say I'm pretty pleased with the new textures and lightbar. Thanks Sam.
  22. Which game are you referring to, IV or V? They don't feel like Person of Interest to me. They don't have a machine that predicts crimes or a reclusive billionaire software genius. :P
