Game w/LCPDFR 1.0a crashing

I'm not sure if it's the game or the LCPD 1.0a that is causing the crashes. While playing with the mod active, I am able to play about 10 to 20 minutes before the game crashes, whether I'm cruising around or taking call outs.

I have a legit copy of GTA IV, installed the mod using the manual method.

I know the mod isn't perfect but I enjoy playing it, however short the duration.

I have the logs attached. I see the LCPDFR.log referencing to audio files not found minutes before the crash.

Thanks for all the time and effort you guys put into this mod. :D

What are your computer specs? It would seem like your crashes are within the "acceptable" zone.

Ah, I knew I forgot something. Here's my system specs:

OS: Windows Vista™ Home Premium 64-bit (6.0, Build 6002) Service Pack 2,

Processor: Intel® Core2 Duo CPU     T9300  @ 2.50GHz

Memory: 4094MB RAM

Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT

DirectX 10

I know laptops aren't ideal gaming platforms but that's what I have for now.

Edit: I was able to play for about 2 hours last night without any crashes, though a lot of callouts were noted as "Disregard"

Edit 2: After adding the commandline.txt the game seems to be running without crashing. Still stutters a bit but I figure it's because of my old hardware. Thanks ineseri.

I'm pretty sure this isn't a LCPDFR error, but a computer error, or more precisely, your computer not being able to keep up with GTA IV. You can try creating a file called commandline.txt in your GTA IV directory and add the following lines:

-renderquality 0 -shadowdensity 0 -texturequality 0 -viewdistance 0 -detailquality 0 -novblank -norestrictions -percentvidmem 100 -minspecaudio -novsync -renderquality 0 -frameLimit 0 -nomemrestrict

It will force the game to minimum settings, reducing all settings. I think that is your issue here.

Invenio, Investigatio, Imperium
