You don't even need to spam Y or N. Just hold it down.
  4. 100 times a year is a lot of callouts for SWAT. Half that is still a lot.
  5. 1- I know that, I'm an Auxiliary in a neighboring county to NYC, but how realistic is it for the call you're going to to be across the street into the dark alley, every single time. Most NYPD Sectors have a good couple of blocks to them, especially in Queens (Dukes) where sectors are few and far between. At least make it so that we can travel a couple of blocks instead of across the street. Some precincts only turn out 2 cars to a tour because of staffing issues. 2- Yeah, and when you arrest the perp the Officer is chasing he starts shooting at him as soon as he's cuffed. It would still be interesting to have undispatched robberies and other pickup calls. 3- There are some subway stations that are Officerless, especially the above ground platforms in Dukes and Broker and Bohan (only Hove Beach and Algonquin Underground stations are staffed with Police, the rest are Officerless). Again, this is to add more locations to respond to. In real life, a lot of the times Transit is unavailable to respond and the Precinct cars have to pick up assignments generated in Transit. 4- No argument here, lol. Yeah, 3 islands to get to a robbery is dumb. But like I said, when you're talking realism how realistic is it for there to be no travel distance during calls?
  6. Couple of suggestions: 1- Make it so that we have to travel a bit further for callouts. Currently, only shots fired calls have a decent distance between where you are and where you have to go. Most of the time you only have to travel across the street when going to a call. 2- Make pickup calls that aren't dispatched. People fighting on the streets, robberies in progress or a reckless driver. These can be ignored by the player if they don't want to participate in stopping it. 3- Callouts in Transit. Liberty City has a sprawling transit system and you could make some callouts take place inside of the subway stations. 4- As most others suggested, more mundane BS calls, like noise complaints and whatnot.

Scanning Plate: Liberty City. Nothing. Scanning Plate: Liberty City. Nothing. Scanning Plate: Liberty City. Nothing. Rinse and repeat.
  8. Consider applying for positions in a Reserve/Auxiliary (unpaid volunteer) capacity. Nobody is hiring around where I live but at the same time I am doing something I've always wanted to do and eventually when they do hire Reserves are usually given preference.
  9. The only reason the Police Departments are replacing the Crown Vic is because it's being retired. I was at the Fleet Division at the Department in my area and they're replacing them with Tahoe's.
  10. I just listen to my actual scanner, lol. Also, how do you get a civ radio in the Police car? Be nice to listen to some music while on patrol.
