I installed a brand new car pack replacing POLICE, POLICE2, and POLICE3. Placed the files into the latest patchday and loaded up the game, the game loads up the default models instead.

Here are the locations for each one:

POLICE:

mods/x64e.rpf/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf

POLICE2:

mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/patchday3ng/dlc.rpf/x64/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf

POLICE3:

mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/patchday3ng/dlc.rpf/x64/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf

Let me know if one of those doesnt work, as there are alternatives. 🙂

Still doesn't work, in open IV it loads up the actual model. While in game, it still loads the default cruisers.

Which patch day are you using, and are they in your mods folder?

Using patchday22 and they're in my mods folder

I personally still use patchday21, have you replaced vehicles before?

It doesn't work for all of them, even weapon models would do the same thing.

Okay. Let me do some digging and see what I can uncover. You could also try the latest patchday, but there is a chance that one won't work.

Any patchday doesn't seem to work, not even the latest one.

That is strange seeing as how if the latest one doesn't work, the original location should.

Tried multiple car packs and I'm getting the same result. I've pretty much replaced the cars in any patchday with the vehicles.rpf in them. At this point I have no idea what to do.

I found some more locations for the Police vehicles:

 

POLICE:

mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/patchday21ng/dlc.rpf/x64/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf

POLICE2:

mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/patchday1ng/dlc.rpf/x64/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf

POLICE3:

mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/patchday4ng/dlc.rpf/x64/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf

I'm having the same issue i've tried downloading different mod packs still don't work, I can't ever replace sheriff cars or police2 and police3. Can someone help?

I advise making your own thread to address this issue.

I'll just mention that make sure you are installing the vehicles into Patchday 22
