Crashing MOSTLY in Locker

Featured Replies

Hey all,

So my LSPDFR is acting strange because there are a few instances where I can actually get running. Most of the time it's when it spawns me in OnDuty automatically (I'm not sure why it even does that). The times where I don't spawn in on duty and start up in the shower at apt, it will crash almost always when I get to the station and try and get past the locker area or try to select a vehicle in the garage.

Have a few plugins installed and a few addon vehicles. Can spawn the vehicles in fine using Simple Trainer when I spawn in OnDuty. Then LSPDFR will crash whenever it decides to anytime after that.

Tried re-installing, tried increasing plugin load time to 30000, tried removing all plugins (seemed to work temporarily then started crashing again). Tried renaming mods folder. Still crashing.

Any help would be appreciated. Thx.

When you spawn at your apartment press F4 and type reloadallplugins wait for it to do its thing and then type forceduty then you can spawn your police car and patrol.

This method got me going much longer than I have before. Was able to go OnDuty and avoid the inevitable station crash. After about 30 minutes game just froze completely. Something caused it to lock up mid patrol.

Stinks that it can only work this way for me. And only for a short while. But better than where I was before. Hoping the next version will fix some of these issues.

Update: Been trying to repeat this method but now I'm crashing either on startup before spawning or when forcing duty. So basically my install is unstable as hell and I never know when it will crash. It mostly crashes upon startup, spawning or in locker. But now even avoiding locker and forcing duty is causing it to crash. Don't get it.

Rename your mods folder to _Mods and the LSPDFR folder in /Plugins to _LSPDFR.

Hey Stranger.

Yes, I've confirmed disabling both of these folders by renaming does in fact get me smoothly through the Locker and Garage process, of course, now no mods or added vehicles work. So I'm assuming now I have to deduce what is causing the problems from each folder, correct?

Correct. Whatever you installed, remove.

Update: It's definitely NOT mods folder. After renaming only the mods folder back to the standard "mods" I am still able to get through without crashing. It's likely something in the Plugins/LSPDFR folder that's causing the issue. This is still renamed "_LSPDFR" for now until I pinpoint which plugin it is.

Thanks for the help Stranger. Will keep narrowing down the issue.

Problem Files Found.

Ok Stranger so after following your advice I was able to pinpoint that Traffic Policer, Police Radio, and Computer+ all contributed to my game crashing.

When even just one of those files was left in, game would crash. Otherwise, no problems.

So now I have to figure out WHY they are causing my game to crash as those are pretty important add-ons for me.

Any ideas?

My best guess here is that Albo's files just aren't updated to work in 0.46 yet which is what I have installed. I believe he needs to update these files as I don't think I made a mistake in placing/installing them.

I think you're right.

Albo's plugins work just fine. They throw a version warning but that's it. You can still use them perfectly on 0.46.

Hmm. Well if that's the case the case then I must be doing something wrong in placing them. I'm almost certain I don't have them in the wrong place and I ensured that his Common.dll file is updated as well. Not sure why my LSPDFR doesn't play nice with any of them in 0.46. Without them, everything works fine.

Update: I was able to get TrafficPolicer to work by ForcingDuty and not going in the station. Progress. But PoliceSmart Radio is absolutely not having it. Every time I try to ForceDuty with PoliceSmart Radio...I crash to desktop. Tried removing and re-installing...still crashing. Sometimes even before I load into game.

I can assure you it works perfectly fine.
Try rename the LSPDFR folder in /Plugins to _LSPDFR, reinstall JUST PoliceSmartRadio, which creates a new LSPDFR folder in /Plugins.

Test if it works and let us know!

Tried this exactly and crashed in Locker again. I now have two LSPDFR folders one renamed _LSPDFR and the new one like you said.

Can you send your RagePluginHook.log, please?

SUCCESS! Found out my issue was that I was not using Albo1125.Common 6.6.4.0. Whenever I installed Police Radio, I guess it was an older .common.dll file I was also installing. So I downloaded Albo1125.Common 6.6.4.0 separately and only installed PoliceSmart Radio without the included common file it had in it. Now it works perfectly.

Thanks for the help Stranger. Much appreciated.
