Recently installed LSPDFR along with LSPDFR+ and the associated mods.  Everything appears to work, but when attempting to use the computer to check the license plate or ID, the mod crashes. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Can you please post your RPH Crash Log. To do that, follow these steps:

 

1. Open your GTA 5 Main Directory.
2. Find the text file titled: "RagePluginHook".
3. Copy and paste it to your desktop.
4. Upload it here!

Using the LSPDFR+ mods, so Computer Plus. When I use SmartRadio I can read plates and ped checks, but through Computer Plus, a ped check or plate check crashes the mod.

Your Plugin Threshold is very low as indicated here:

[12/6/2019 12:55:10 PM.682] Initializing console variable "PluginTimeoutThreshold".
[12/6/2019 12:55:10 PM.682] Type: System.Int32, Reading section: "Miscellaneous", key: PluginTimeoutThreshold
[12/6/2019 12:55:10 PM.685] Read value: 10000

To fix that, launch RPH and when the small window pops up, click on the silver cog in the bottom left. Then go to the tab that has Plugin Timeout Threshold in it and change it to 60,000.

I would do what Matthew says and switch to Compulite. Personally, I just use PoliceSmartRadio as I find the PD computers to be quite a bother to use. But if you are going for realism, Compulite might be the easier solution.
