In reality I don't have much respect for most cops. They lie, cheat and steal. I hope those here that are thinking on becoming Law Enforcement do better then those that have been for the last 20 years or so...To serve and protect is a joke, so many "Officers" these days abuse their power and our rights. If you do decided any of you to become cop's DON'T forget who you serve and who pays your wage...

Like some/most people on here, I want to be a police officer. If I can't do that for some reason, then I'd like to be a firefighter. People that kill 15 people only get about 30 minutes of news time. Like the movie theater shooter shot and killed 11 people do you still hear about him? Not here in Wisconsin there to worried about some famous person got a tattoo on there ass...

I had wanted to be a truck driver ever since I was a kid so I got my CDL's back in 93 as soon as I turned 21 and started running North Carolina to California hauling furniture out and produce back.

Thought I wanted a change of jobs and joined the Sheriffs dept however I missed trucking so I went back in and bought my own truck.

Lack of business experience and being leased onto a shoddy company lead to me losing the truck (my first paycheck was a you owe us $) so really learn the business by being a company driver before taking a plunge into buying your own truck.

To everyone entering law enforcement, good luck aswell.

nice to hear that there is a guy with a bit expirence on the forum when it comes to trucking.

and don't worry.. it's not like i plan on "rushing" into having my own business. But maybe after 5-10 years and some expirence i might think about that.

@Darkangel: Don't worry about people not beliving your story.. Just because you don't hear something in the news dosn't mean it never happend. Millions of people get killed every day and maybe 5% of them are making it into the news xD
