ELS siren strings

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Looking for some help regarding this post linked below:

SO! I have chosen the files I want for my vehciles from the modern siren pack, I'll choose the ambulance as an example. I've chosen 0x159C9182 for the primary siren, 0x161768E7 for the secondary & this AMBULANCE_WARNING for the warning. Now I've renamed the primary siren to RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_WAIL_01, the secondary to RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_QUICK_01 and the warning as VEHICLES_HORNS_AMBULANCE_WARNING. What do I do with them now? I am currently exporting my vehicle.awc into a new folder on my desktop, dragging and dropping the three newly named files into the vehicles file. I then import the vehicles file and the vehicles.oac through OpenIV through openformats but it does not work.

Can someone advise me on what I am doing wrong.

Thanks.

You don't rename the audio files. You modify the els vcf file to use those names for the sirens.

You import the audio files under their old names.

So I just use the original audio name file e.g 0x159C9182 and not RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_WAIL_01 like the post says - import them into vehicles.awc and then rename the els vfc to what?

Like in the list of siren tones where you tell it which sirens to use. Inside the vcf, change the names of those siren it has to the strings you want to use.
