LSPDFR is a mod for GTA V - As such, they need to be together in the same directory. Just for the sake of curiosity, why?

If you've run out of disk-space to that extent that you can't find LSPDFR, you have bigger problems. A simple update to GTA V won't even fit then. I'd recommend cleaning up your drive instead, far easier. Disk Cleanup in Windows should do the trick.

I was thinking about the same thing.  Except I would install an additional internal HD in my case since I have a slot for that.  Which means I would have to install GTAV,  LSPDFR, Rage, ect. all on the new HD.  My main drive is 500GB SSD.  I have a secondary that is 1TB HDD.  I really like the SSD so I think I'll swap out the 1TB HDD for a 2TB SSD.  With all my mods and GTA fully updated it takes up about 142GB.  Also I keep a backup or 2 of the vanilla GTA.  As of right now GTAV fully updated is  85.9GB.  So the 142GB modded folder + the 85.9GB Backup vanilla takes up 227.9GB.  I have about 40 or so GB left.  I can't remember what else is taking up room.  I'll have to see.

During installation of GTA V, whether it's a retail version or through steam, set your installation directory to your external drive.  Then install LSPDFR and any additional components in thus folder.  I have 2 HD's on my computer and use the secondary for GTA V.  Let me know if you need any further help with installation.  Below is a screenshot of my secondary drive with my Grand Theft Auto V folder.

Yes, if you have the money to spend to get an additional SSD, that is a good option. SSDs are far better than HDDs for gaming and performance.

You shouldn't install stuff to external drives, that is opening a can of worms that is hard to close again. Better to keep it "in-house" so to speak.
