[LSPDFR Suggestion] Global Activity In-game Scanner Feature

Featured Replies

Hey everyone, so I am a big fan of the Global Activity feature that tracks LSPDFR activity from players, I find it fascinating to watch it scroll and I often wonder what is happening in people's games. But recently, I began thinking about the idea of a "Scanner" feature that could be added where it could display the global activity in game in the upper right hand corner, similar to LCPDFR's dispatch log. It could be toggled on and off in the character interaction menu and in my opinion, would likely improve immersion. I wanted to get other people's takes on this and see if it would even be possible.

From a technical point of view, this would probably be possible if cached properly. It could, however, be quite chatty depending on how many people are playing. Let's see what other people think.

Please do not PM me unless really necessary (knowing you helps). If you think you need my attention in a topic, tag me.

This sounds really cool and would ''connect''  the LSPDFR world a lot more. But at the moment I don't think it will be interesting after a couple of minutes due to the lack of variables in the activity that you see. There's about 5 things right now, someone going on duty, getting killed, accepting a callout and performing a traffic stop, and reporting crime. It's probably a lot more complex to allow to show more variables, like panic buttons being pressed, officers involved in a high speed chase, reported shootouts, vehicle crashes.. and so forth. And with that comes the problem of the ''scanner'' becoming even more ''chatty'' like LMS said.

As of now I simply think its too barebones for it to add any value to the core lspdfr experience. You could always have the activity feed on your phone or 2nd monitor if you really want to see it.
