Big Performance Drop

Featured Replies

Hi! I haven't used LSPDFR since version 3, so 4.2 is kinda new to me. When I go on duty, my performance drops from 120 fps to 30. It gets so bad at times that I get texture loss. What can I do to bring the performance back, without sacrificing graphics quality and scripts?

Edit: This is on a Core i9 9900K system with a RTX 2080 Ti and 32GB of RAM, 1440p display (with G-Sync if that matters)

You have a pretty good graphics card, don't know why your game is acting like this.

Have you tried lowering graphics settings a little bit?

I know, you'd think with a system at this price tag, it'd be running much smoother.

Bringing most, if not all the settings down to high only gives me a 5 FPS increase when on-duty.

Holy hell, finally, someone with the same issue as me. I have really good specs too, same problem. Unreasonably low FPS with 0.4. Best advice I can give you is try to delete unneeded plugins, and change settings in computerplus to reduce lag. I’ve had this problem for months, nobody has supplied me with a fix and I’ve been hunting on many sources for months lol.

I have the same exact issue but it's only been this way since 0.4. Just posted another thread on it. Your equipment is much better than mine but I never had this issue with 0.3.

Please try this lspdfr.ini settings:

Main.PreloadAllModels = False
WorldEvents.IntervalMultiplier = 0.0f
WorldEvents.MaxNumberOfEvents = 0
AmbientSpawn.MaxCopsInArea = 0
Chase.MaxUnits = 4
AmbientSpawn.DisableRandomUnits = True
Chase.DisableAmbientAI = True
PoliceStation.DisableAmbientSpawn = True

I didn't have these specific lines in the original .ini, is that alright? Or should there be more? There were only four lines in the original.

Regardless, it didn't help. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

unfornately it sounds like your scripts folder along with your graphics settings are the issue lspdfr utilizles alot of cpu and ram usage no matter how great your specs are so you will have to turn them down and find that sweet spot

here is a priority launcher that worked for me along with finely tuned graphic settings that give me 50-60 fps on lspdfr and 130-150 fps SPG

also sometimes updating your gpu settings by installing its drivers helps alot

https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/gta-v-high-priority-launcher

here are my lspfr settings

Main.PreloadAllModels = false
Networking.DisableServerCommunication = True
Networking.DisableDiscordRichPresence = True
Main.DisableAmbientScriptHooks = True
AmbientSpawn.MaxCopsInArea = 0
WorldEvents.IntervalMultiplier = 0
WorldEvents.MaxNumberOfEvents = 0
Callouts.Multiplier = 250
Chase.CopsCanCommandeerVehicles = false
Callouts.DisableBigRadar = true
Ambient.DisableAmbientGameCopSpawnBlock = true
Chase.DisableTrafficDensityAdjustments = true
Chase.ExhaustionInterval = 25000
Chase.ExhaustionDuration = 30000
AmbientSpawn.DisableRandomUnits = true
Chase.DisableAmbientAI = true
PoliceStation.DisableAmbientSpawn = true

I will post my graphic settings if this doesn't help

Unfortunately, this did not help either. Still stuck around 30-40 FPS, which seems absolutely unreasonable for an i9 9900K, 32GB of RAM, and a RTX 2080 Ti. It happens as soon as LSPDFR loads, and when it's not running (or crashes lol), then it shoots right back up to 120 FPS.

I don't even know if LSPDFR is recognizing some of those commands, for example "Callouts.DisableBigRadar" I assume is supposed to stop the map in the corner from going big when a callout comes in, right? It doesn't.

okay 30-40 gives you something to work with

In your plugins folder you should check each ini and make sure you have disabled ambient events and certain unused features for plugins this should help also

hi rg, Thanks for your tips.

i just set the "Population Variety" and "Distance Scaling" to full left and I was amazed because my stutters and FPS drop are gone.

the interesting thing is, it seems the way peds and cars spawned are not affected by the sliders at all. I can still see many peds and cars around.

my assumption: perhaps LSPDFR or RPH takes over the spawning logic and timing from GTA V and that somehow causes double spawning process load to the CPU.

by disabling the GTA spawning logic and let RPH does it, we save some CPU loads which might increase the performance.

yea I forgot to mention there are 3 spawning measures you have to take into account the Gta V, lspdfr/rph and last but not least is your Gameconfig (which is most important) I use F7YO's gameconfig with GTA base

Hi everyone I’m encountering the same issue, I’ve tried everything was discribed above but my fps went from 40/50 to 25/30 when on duty.

It’s strange because I’ve upgraded my gpu (I had a gtx 750 2 gb and now I have a rx570 4gb) and my fps were the same of today

Here’s my specs

CPU I7 3770

GPU said above

10 gb ram 3000 mhz

Should I upgrade my ram too? By task manager I see the usage It’s about 70% and the Cpu about 38%

Or maybe should I try to make a fresh Windows install?

Thanks 😉
