CarCols files

Featured Replies

I am new to LSPDFR modding, and I have downloaded a few non-ELS vehicles (because I can't get ELS to work, but that's a different topic).  Most of the vehicles I am downloading are coming with CarCols.meta files.

I am using Albo's Modding DLC pack, and I can't find anywhere to edit the carcols files?

I can get the car to spawn and look correctly from a general presentation fact.  But the livery, lights, and siren won't work.

I have looked on YouTube and tried searching these forums, but all I can find is how they relate to FiveM.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If I remember correctly, that mod template didn't come with support for that file.

In content.xml, under the dataFiles section, add this after the entry for vehicles.meta:

<Item>
      <filename>dlc_modding:/common/data/carcols.meta</filename>
      <fileType>CARCOLS_FILE</fileType>
      <overlay value="false" />
      <disabled value="true" />
      <persistent value="false" />
</Item>

And then under the filesToEnable section, add this line after the line for vehicles.meta:

<Item>dlc_modding:/common/data/carcols.meta</Item>

You should then be able to add your meta file and have it loaded by the game.
