Multiplayer Pursuit Issue

Featured Replies

I've begun playing LCPDFR online, and have run into a slight problem with pursuits. When getting involved in a vehicle pursuit with an AI suspect my backup officer (Naturally) responds to back me up.

However the AI's directive to drive evasively and flee appears to be overriden when approached by another player operating their vehicle in emergency mode (Lights and siren). The AI suspect will then pull over and stop fleeing, and even after the backup officer leaves the immediate area around the suspect or deactivates their lights and siren the suspect then begins to drive normally, obeying all traffic laws and stops fleeing.

Due to this issue it forces us to have any other players act as strictly secondary backup officers who cannot take the primary position, and keep enough distance between them and the suspect vehicle to prevent their lights and siren from forcing the AI offender to pull over. Effectively leaving them as little more than a bored long-distance observer of the pursuit who only gets to jump into the fray after the offender has left their vehicle.

After searching I haven't found anyone else reporting this issue. I also have seen several multiplayer groups active so I have to assume at least someone has a resolution to this problem.

Specs:

LCPDFR .91 (As it has been more stable for us on MP) however the problem also occurred when playing version .95RC2

No ELS, vehicle, or other modifications.

AI Police have been disabled

Thank you in advance for any help or advice on this issue.

Gotcha, just thought I would check and see if anyone had a solution that I haven't thought of. Thanks for the info Olanov.
