I really appreciate the new dynamic these mods, created by all of these talented people, are bringing to LSPDFR. I've spent years looking for a decent cop game and I think I found one. I know I'm greener than a grasshopper; however, I'm wondering if there is a way to add more call outs, or characters. If there is a way then I can get some voice actors and do a little audio work and create a resource file that mod authors can use when they get around to it.

I think it would be neat to do some investigating and have certain calls be part of a larger story.

Of course as the FNG I may be wasting time because there could very well be a mod that is doing what I'm suggesting. Having said that, please accept my humblest apologies if that is the case.

Welcome to our community!

You can indeed choose from a huge variety of different callouts that you can easily add to your game. You can find those under "Scripts & Plugins" in the Downloads section. As for characters, I am not entirely sure what you mean. You can add different outfits and also create new characters in-game.

If you are looking for ways to offer your work/help regarding voice-acting, I'd suggest you head over to https://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/forum/894-api-development/. While the forums is dedicated for people working with our API, it is probably the best place to reach other developers.

Hello LMS

Thank you for the welcome! It's good to be here.

What I meant by characters, are NPCs that can be added to the police station. for instance the Briefing room can have an NPC that's a Sargent who can brief officers about specific matter to look out for. Example Vinewood is experiencing an increasing amount of drug activity and officers are to patrol that area more frequently and arrest drug dealers.

I will certainly visit the api development forum. I really appreciate what you are all doing to make LSPDFR the police game many have dreamed about.

You can definitely add NPCs and your own custom scenarios. Just like callout mods you can create your own plugin to extend the game and communicate with LSPDFR as needed.
