G-sync and FPS

Featured Replies

Hey all ,

Does using g-sync ( not vsync) help increase your fps?

When i run gta , im getting around 92fps but once i go on duty it drops to about 72fps. Is that normal or should i be getting more fps on duty?

My specs are:
Intel Core I5-9600K
NVIDIA RTX 2070 Armor OC 8GB
Crossair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2×8GB)
Dell Gamaing Monitor (1920×1080) @ 144hz
Asus Prime z390-a

gsync doesn't incfrease FPS. it makes the screen rendered smoother because it helps sync-ing each frames with your monitor refresh rate.

The idea of G-SYNC is that it is a replacement for V-sync, which can reduce your FPS when it is on.

You will get about the same performance with G-SYNC as with V-sync off, but with the perceived benefit of V-sync on.

Oh ok thanks!

Any tips or tricks to get better fps ?
