Multiple site issues in Firefox

Featured Replies

For the past week or two, I've had an issue on the index page and only the index page where randomly, the notifications box will close on its own.  I'll have it open, and be in the middle of clicking something, and it'll close after a few seconds.  Doesn't happen on other pages, but I have noticed sometimes the notifications box will open a second time, as if the site didn't even recognize it was open.

Then I had issues with profiles looking weird, as if the CSS was broken.  Did CTRL F5 wondering if that'd fix it, and instead it broke the site completely.  Cleared my cookies for LCPDFR, and the site looking broke was fixed.

Logged in today and tried opening gallery images, they won't load at all.  Cleared cookies again, no go, and now the site is broken again.

It seems like only a Firefox issue, but I haven't changed any of my settings or did anything different.

[Edit]  Now the CSS loads again, but there are still a few broken things.

and just as I am testing, the site has mostly gone back to normal, but gallery images still won't load.

[Update] As of 22:43, partially broken again.

Has this cleared up for you now?

As of right now, yes, however this has been an on and off issue.  I'm not sure if it's something with Firefox, my internet (which would be weird since it doesn't happen in IE or Opera), or just a weird combination of both.

Edit  Never mind, the lack of CSS issue is happening again.

Edit 2: Cyan, does this help at all?

Do you get anything other than a 403 error if you go here:

https://img.cdn.lcpdfr.com/

Any updates?  This is still a huge problem and now there's some new stuff.

Maybe this page will help you figure out what the issue is?  https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript/Reference/Errors/Not_defined?utm_source=mozilla&utm_medium=firefox-console-errors&utm_campaign=default

What's more, when opening my secondary browser and going to the login page, I'm being sent to an error page with Error: EX0

So I'm on a third browser, which let me access the login page.  This only started happening recently, I never had this happen while on staff.  What's going on?

From the errors, it looks like for whatever reason assets aren't being loaded from our CDN. I can't reproduce this myself on Chrome or Firefox.

It sounds connected to previous reports that for whatever reason their anti-virus was marking our CDN domain as malicious.

The funny thing is, I actually am not using an anti-virus.  I have a web protection program and Malewarebytes.  LCPDFR is added as an exception to the web protection program.

What doesn't make any sense is, if I was using an AV and that was the problem, why would it only be an issue in Firefox and not other browsers?  Right now things are fine in Firefox, but I'm at a dead end here because I've looked through all my settings and nothing has changed on my end.  I'm not saying it's something you guys did, either.  I'm just wanting to figure out what happened.

Firefox/Chrome use different security models and ways of configuring proxies. Could you try temporarily disabling your web protection program and letting us know if the issues disappear? I suspect we (or our CDN) are on some sort of blacklist somewhere.

Disabled it, but no go.

In Opera, when going to the login page, I'm still getting the error EX0, leaving only IE which thus far has had zero of these problems.  Considering there is an issue in 2 browsers but not the third, it might be something to do with how the browsers connect to the site.  I'm still using the same https connection that I have been.

This might still be something with the CDN, I just don't know what or why.

FWIW, I use Firefox and MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials) and have had zero issues with connectivity. I'm usually on the site for a few hours over the course of the day. I'm sorry I can't help but thought I'd offer up that it may be on your end Red as opposed to the site/server.

Since commenting, I keep coming across these two when trying to download from the site. I've also noticed that images are blank and don't load when clicked on. Other sites working fine, just lcpdfr that isn't. I can't check with any other browser as household uses Firefox exclusively (no IE installed.)

**EDIT**

Now I can't see anything properly. Everything is... broken. Image three (if you can see it) is what keeps the page hanging before it crashes.

Can you run the following commands in command prompt, and paste the output here:

nslookup img.cdn.lcpdfr.com
nslookup lcpdfrdltier2.b-cdn.net
tracert img.cdn.lcpdfr.com
tracert lcpdfrdltier2.b-cdn.net

We will then be able to provide our CDN provider with some troubleshooting information.

Can you give this a try now after clearing caches? There could have been an edge case with invalid caching on our edge.

Didn't reply sooner because I was waiting to see the result, but no dice.  Still having issues, but they aren't as prevalent.  The main problem I'm having now is with images not loading, as LostBoyLazarus pointed out.  The CDN is odd, because I click on the site now, it work fine, I click on the site again and things aren't working as they should. Basically, the issues are now on and off randomly.

[Edit] Speak of the devil.  This was showing fine for me before, now it's like the image can't load.  (in Firefox still)

I take that back.  Just now some of the page didn't load, and upon refreshing we are back to square 1 with none of the CSS loading. Reusing image from my first post 'cause it's still accurate.
