Hey guys/gals, i'm new to the community and haven't been using LSPDFR for very long but can say that I have a collective passion for the game mod and for a genuine police simulator like this. And so I've been adding all the great plugins available and have been enjoying my time playing the game for the most part but have been coming across some "realism" issues that i'd like to fix and I have a hunch that this community is all too familiar with said issues and was wondering if I could get some input or clarity on one of them. (I have a host of questions but for the sake of introduction will keep it to my most pressed one)

Issue #1: Why is is that ambient ELS equipped vehicles can't run code 2 without sounding their sirens?

Like for me, whats the point of having assorted callouts like traffic stop backup etc. if the officer waiting for me to arrive is running his siren the entire time? It takes away from the realism.

Question: Is there any way to fix this issue?

I'm sure this issue HAS been addressed many times over and it is common knowledge to most of you but I couldn't seem to find a thread that relates. Anyways, thanks and nice to meet all of you! I look forward to addressing my issues going forward and hope to be playing and supporting this game mod for some time to come.

Hey Krispy! For issue #1, you will  have to go into the settings file for Traffic stop backup or/and assorted callouts and etc and turn it off manually. You need to read through every .ini read me file and also the editing file. Hope you can get it fixed and cheers! 🙂

Yep, he's a runner.

Ah yes, I do take time to read through every readme and ini file I can when I add a plugin to my game as I understand how valuable it is to my personal experience. My problem is that I have adjusted the ini file to my liking as you can see in this attachment. However, all this adjustment has done has disabled the lights AND sirens from playing all-together when ai police backup arrive at my request (which is another buzz kill because code 2 uses lights, something I prefer for traffic stops).

I couldn't help but notice that through assortedcallouts when responding to a traffic stop backup request that the plugin forced the ai unit to use it's lights, triggering the issue with ELS and causing it to blare a siren until the officer got out of the car when I arrived. I looked in the assortedcallout.ini and couldn't find any sort of option to adjust this.

If I ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO download non-ELS cars so that I can maintain realism, then I will but I surely love my setup right now and the cars I use in my city are only ELS!
