Looking for Help with ELS

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I am new to modding when it comes to GTA IV, i came across this mod randomly and so far have been very impressed/having alot of fun with it. Trying to get more into the different vehicles and such and i am noticing that most of the nicers vehicles are ELS, i have ELS installed now and it is working.... kinda.... i am having a problem with the keys (J) to activate lights and all the others with this mod, they are only working sometimes and often if i hold a key down for a few seconds the lights will turn on then right back off.

Hoping somone else has had a similar problem and may have an easy solution.

Thanks,

Killerik

Another member had the same problem, im not sure how they fixed it but.... What version of els are you using v6 or v5?

funny thing is i had that problem once too.

It almost was like i needed to rape the J button to make it (sometimes) work.

I reinstalled GTA 4 and installed ELS V5 and like magic it worked again. I got no clue what that was.

And i also can't promise you a reInstall will fix the problem for you. But it did it for me

you have to change the setup keys. Els v6 and simple native trainer are using the same keys since else use the j key to activate the light the simple native trainer is also using the j key for Close Car Doors Default J ,Enable Speedometer MPH Default J, Enable Speedometer MPH Default J, Jump when no ragdoll whilst falling enabled Default J, Go into the main Simple Native Trainer file and change the key.

The truth is you don't know what is going to happen tomorrow. Life is a crazy ride, and nothing is guaranteed.

how do i play this game can someone tell how

1) Buy the GTA 4 PC Version

2) Get page 1.0.7.0

3) Download the Mod

4) Double Click on the Installer

5) Install the Mod

7) Drive to a Policestation

9) Play the damn game xD

That was my First attempt, unfortunately did not work... and it is V5 at this time i had V6 orriginally and switched back to V6 hoping that would repair,

This i will have to try, i have seen instruction a couple of places of which file to modify to change those keys...

Just to confirm i need to change all of those keys (that are default j at this time) to any other key that is not used by ELS...

Thanks for the responses guys, making it a lot easier for me, i look forward to being able to help others in the future :yes:

P.S. and if this doesnt work, ile let ya know

I'm going to suggest you try going into your simple native trainer by hitting F3, going into "Options" by hitting Num5, moving up the menu by hitting Num8 until you reach "Trainer keys enabled/disabled" and hit Num5 once to set it to "Disabled".

This will disable the trainer keys but still allow you to access the menu's and all of the options. To enter and exit the trainer after doing so I believe it is F3 or F4 and then navigate using the numpad again.
