Texture help?

Featured Replies

I downloaded an LCPD texture for a CVPI and as I'm sure most of you know, it comes as a template. This wouldn't be a problem if I had any idea how to apply it to the car. I've read through the texturing tips and tricks thread and I didn't come across anything that really helped, with the exception of the different file types. I have "GIMP 2" on my computer but I just need an easy to follow guide.

If this is a repost of this subject I apologize, I did a search for something similar but I couldn't find anything.

Thanks.

Alright. I'm using OpenIV (it has more options, try it), but I should be able to help you.

1. Open SparkIV

2. Navigate to vehicles.img

3. Find model you replaced with CVPI (probably police)

4. Click one time on file with .wtd extension

5. Click edit

6. Click on import texture

7. Navigate to where your skin file is

8. Rename skin file to match one of liveries (like cvpi_sign_1 or something)

9. Import

10. Save & Rebuild

11. Exit SparkIV

12. You are done!
