The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

Suggestion: more lspdfr.ini config options

Hi,

I'd like to see a few more ini options available to allow players to tweak the game to play just the way they like.

Some I'd like to see are;

  • The ability to disable the radio in cop cars (or not have it enabled in the first place).

I know this was added as a new feature and the radio can be turned to off through the radio menu but I'd rather not have the feature at all.

  • Disable the audio and visual cues when acquiring a suspect.

Chase.DisableCameraFocus is already available but disabling the bang sound and screen flash would be nice too.

LSPDFR 0.4 appears to have its own version of ClearTheWay active. This allows vehicles to move further out of the players way when running sirens. I'd prefer to just stick with GTA handling this. So...

  • Disable lspdfr's traffic handling when siren is active

If anybody else has any opinions on these or options they'd like to see please post them.

A couple of those i agree with.  I don't like how radio turns automatically when you get into cruiser.  Should be defaulted to off  and if you want it turn it on.  I don't like the audio and camera focus every time you see the suspect.  All of a sudden the camera moves and if the suspect is coming back the other way the camera will be forcing you to look behind and then, well you might crash.  The explosion is getting annoying along with the screen flash.  I saw  Chase.DisableCameraFocus some where but didn't really know what it was for so I'll look for it again and change it.  I didn't really notice traffic any better, in fact a bit worse, so I'm not sure.  I would still install Clear the Way and then there is Traffic Discipline and something else that would make traffic better.   Couple other things I would like in an ini file too but I can't remember what they are.

  • Ability to disable scenarios from occurring when loading game (sitting on couch, taking shower, arriving at police station etc.)

These seem to crash my game, don't know why, but I'd like to just spawn in game and get on with it.

Also I'd love a modifier to change the amount of ai police vehicles that patrol around that 0.4 adds in. In sandy shores I constantly see another cop driving around every other corner and its a bit unrealistic. As well as it has an impact on performance because cop cars (if you modded them) are much higher quality than vanilla cars.

Mod it until you break it.

There's already two modifiers available that effect this.

AmbientSpawn.SpawnFrequency - Specifies the frequency in milliseconds for attempting to spawn ambient units in the area.

AmbientSpawn.MaxCopsInArea - Specifies the maximum number of ambient cops in an area at any time. Setting this to zero disables ambient spawning.

Oh! thanks, somehow I missed that, though it was intended for developers. I can just add them to the ini right? For example: ''AmbientSpawn.MaxCopsInArea = 2 ''

Mod it until you break it.
