Hi all,

 

Wondering if anyone has found a solution to the 360 controller not actually working apart from menu navigation and some actions. I can pull over a vehicle with 'A' and I can access the computer with 'X', I can't use the pursuit menu with the controller, I also can't press the horn to signal someone to move to another spot, or stop where they are, or stop them following me. Is this an ELS compatibility issue?

I used the mod "FreeMe" to unbind the controls from the GTA 5 actions and mapped the key bindings in lspdfr\keys.ini accordingly, leaving the ELS default controls alone. This would allow you to, for example, make the pursuit menu the right shoulder button and it would not conflict with anything else.

How do you write right shoulder button in the ini file? Is there some way you're supposed to type it, like RB or RSB or something? Because for me it's not recognising the controller keybinding.

RightShoulder or LeftShoulder. I also only use Notepad++ for my text file editing.

Do you happen to know by any chance if that's a universal button name designation for all pc game pads? Because I've got some weird brand version, rather than the official Microsoft 360 controller.

If it works on an xbox 360 or xbox one then it uses XInput and should map the same on a PC, as the PC probably can't tell the difference between official and generic. What kind of controller is it?

PS4 controller then, with PC compatibility. Still uses XInput though, so I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't map properly. Does it work with vanilla GTA without any issues? 

I have a ps4 controller work fine with vanilla GTA without any issues and lspdfr 0.3.1 but now with lspdfr 0.4.0 it does not work.

Make sure you can play the game normally without any mods with the controller. There's no reason it shouldn't work unless you've installed the game incorrectly. Works fine for me and many others on 0.4.1

Ok so I have the same problem as basically everyone else and my controller was working perfectly with out LSPDFR but then all of a sudden after I died during a call it doesn’t work anymore, I have even uninstalled LSPDFR and reinstalled and nothing works. Can some one help playing with the keyboard IS NOT FUN!
