TEXTURE LOADING FIX FOR NEW UPDATE

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, I know that some people are having issues with the texture loading in the new 0.4 update. After many hours of trial and error, the error is one of the settings of LSPDFR. The path to fix this is Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\LSPDFR then find the lspdfr.ini and change the Main.PreloadAllModels  setting from true to false and launch the game. Another fix is to go to the LSPDFR configurator and there is a setting that it disables for you! all you have to do is press the button that says "do it for me" and it will 😉 if anything is confusing just ask lol cause i wrote this pretty late.

By texture do you mean when I'm customizing my cop's clothing in her house the fact that I'm bleeding through some pieces?

Fear is the mind killer.

LSPDFR was only tested on a vanilla installation to make sure any bugs found were caused by LSPDFR and not an outside party, so some car mods might cause issues if they are preloaded.

All the road textures and building textures disappear as soon as I go on duty... have naturalvisionremastered installed

But you have a bunch of car mods by the looks of it - Does it still happen without those installed?

What about with no car mods?

I have not tried it, it's just a pain to manually replace all cars and etc lol. The only thing I can do is to load the game without the mods forlder, so everything vanilla but that'd suck... If the only way to play LSPDFR is to play vanilla, then it's definitely one step forward, two steps back

I have been through weeks of troubleshooting my own texture issues in the past. I found the solution, and the only solution at that. What happens is your PC and GTA V simply can't handle all the high resolution textures that are being loaded, so the engine decides to unload textures. To fix this, either downgrade your textures, mainly liveries that are made in 4K which is absolutly stupid, you don't need more than 2K, downgrade all your 4k textures to 2k and see if that improves it, if not, change your texture quality to normal as well and you should never experience texture loss again.

There is no other solution. Simple as that.

Preloading the emergency vehicles has no influence on this, it's all about textures.

Mod it until you break it.

Bad PC? No, I have a very powerful PC too, I said that the ENGINE cannot handle it.

Mod it until you break it.
