Can anyone help me out with what I am looking at using HWMonitor. I am getting confused. I would assume the CPU temp is the "package" temp, but I have read sometimes the CPU is under the motherboard. I know Core temp is whats important, do you know which is it? I also read some of these readings aren't even actual temperatures. I find this program confusing but everywhere I go says it is the best monitoring app? 

 

Additionally I am highly doubting whatever maxed at 378 degrees, haven't even been playing a game since that registered, surely is inaccurate.

Inaccurate temperatures are pretty common with AMD processors. It's a known problem, the sensors are just awful.

I'd say you can completely ignore all CPU temperatures. Every computer will start an emergency shutdown at around 200 degrees to prevent overheating. 

378 is just not true, it can't be.

ok, Just when I am playing lspdfr TMPIN2 goes up to mid 60c's, Im kinda big on not frying my stuff. Everything else seems to stay below 60c

You won't fry your stuff. All processors have built in safety measures to ensure that you don't go over the recommended heat. It might reduce its lifespan, but that's just the cost of running high-resource-demand games.

You may find more luck with AMD's own tools. HW Monitor has been known to not play nice with the temperature sensors on some AM boards. As mentioned by Wilhelm it's unlikely you'll damage anything due to failsafes However mid 60s isn't that hot all things considered.
