Help needed for editing handling.dat file!

Featured Replies

I am really unsure how to edit the handling.dat file. I modded the polpatriot to cj24's FBI Tahoe. and i need to change the handling line but not sure how to properly edit it such that the game works. If anyone could help it would be great.

Usually a car that you downloaded that requires a custom handling line usually has the line in a text document somewhere in the file.

Pretty easy, just replace everything in the line after "POLPAT" in handling.dat with whatever the car mod came with, or use something from "Sgt. Kanyo's Handling Mods" in the content modification forum.

Example of how it would look with one from that thread:

POLPAT 2505 0.363 85 0.0 0.0 -0.12 0.5 4 0.16 5.0 240 0.45 0.55 0.6 33 1.5 1.2 12 0.12 0.48 3.0 1.9 1.9 0.15 -0.08 -0.025 0.44 2.0 1.0 2.2 2.4 0.0 50000 440010 0 0

I have a question:

How to make a car faster?

Because my Jaguar drives like its my grandmother in a new morning :P
